The ever original Jeff Minter is currently working on a Xbox Live Arcade title called Space Giraffe. He released this video as a "Work in Progress", and as always with this outstanding developer it's very colorful and also very strange.

Looks like fun though, gonna download the trial for sure.
Edit: GIRAFFETASTIC!. lol
To me, who was a big fan, this doesn't look like his best work. It's pretty sad actually, but to each his own.
Horray for the internets
Very colourful indeed. Although it doesn't look to have all that much depth But a winner is you! So i'll probably buy this game just for the hell of it

Honestly.
Minter is a legendary programmer, and a terrible game designer. Anyone who talks about the Jaguar - or any of the "games" that appeared on it (with the possible exception of AVP) - with anything but disgust, clearly wasn't duped into buying one.
I've been diggin' the visualizor (TM) Jeff Minter did for the xbox360 since day one and i do appreciate his flalr for vivid colors, but somehow I was expecting something abit more orginal than a sequel to his on previous work.
Certainly looks a treat though. And the music was very fitting. If the price is right, I'll be sure to get it.

Ask any avid gamer older than the PS1 generation and they'll tell you that yes, the jaguar may have been a console lacking in power & support (from both atari and developers) but Jeff Minters Tempest was THE major reason for buying one.
Tempest 2K received amazing reviews and probably trippled the life of the machine.
Fast-forward to 2006 and Space Giraffe. Definitely (from the looks of things) not Minter's most original work, yet is the one piece that I have been the most anticipating for sometime now; what would Tempest 2000 look like on Xbox 360. Honestly, had Llamasoft made any other game as their inaugeral effort to Live Arcade, there would be no end of complaining from fans the world over about when we were going to see the latest update to the beloved Tempest. And I guess with recent turmoils at Atari, ownership of the Tempest name is probably up in the air right now. Not that this would stop Llamasoft from getting the game out to us. A name change and a few effects changes later, and Tempest 2000 is reborn as an 'original' IP. What is potentially going to be really sweet is if they bring back the multiplayer mode (both co-op and head-to-head), but now via online play. Also, what would be sweet is if Space Giraffe's backgrounds actually worked like an in-game visualizer to all your imported music and custom soundtracks.
Anyway, I hope Space Giraffe makes it out this holiday, I have been wanting this every since I heard Minter was creating Neon for the X360. And with luck, Space Giraffe will be the first of many new projects to come from Llamasoft for the Xbox 360.
Super Zapper Recharge!
And I do indeed own a copy of Tempest on the Jag still! Yay! I also have a sealed copy of AVP but that has nothing to do with this.;)

and incase it isn't obvious, this game is built with the Neon Light Synth inside of the 360, so you put in your favorite trippy ass glitch CD to watch the viz and now you have a game to play with.
