Sick trailer, even though it reminded me of GTA 4 trailer this is a cool way to show visually, main character is in for a fucked up journey.

i'll give it a rent in the hopes that the game breaks away from the pretty generic gameplay and narrative that was seen in the demo. i'm not holding my breath, but my low expectations allows for potential surprise, even if it turns out to be average. i just have a feeling we've got another "homefront" on out hands...promises of adult themes and mature story telling, but ended up being utterly moronic bar the very first 5 minutes.

From what I've been told, the game's strength really is its narrative, the different events the player is confronted with and the ending itself are quite memorable, even though gameplay does not bring anything new to the genre.

Looks like hackneyed, uninspired, deadly dull shit but hey, you never know.

This game will be in the bargain bin within 2 months, probably less. I doubt it will sell any more than 100k units.

Driftwood is right Ive played the game up to chapter 18, and trust me there is a section in the game that happens and you think typical call of duty... lets say its not what you think, there are moments i was WTF... OK!

Oddly this game has been getting great reviews, i say oddly due to the demo being distinctly average. The gun mechanics were atrocious and made COD's look and feel semi realistic.

That's probably because this game has more to offer than shooting with its narrative, so most reviews have responded to that which is what sets it apart.

I liked the extra lethality of the guns, no bullet sponges, and the AI is pretty aggressive. Found guns punchy and responsive, like that short slow-mo headshots. That's just from the demo, the rest of the game still has all the sand elements.

For me gameplay should be king, IGN gave gameplay a 7 but overall an 8...for a game thats crazy, If i wanted a good story i'd rent a film rather than buy computer games.

Would you say the retail version is a big step up from the demo or is it similar?
