Xbox 360

Here's the final scan from this week's Famitsu Weekly: Spectral Force 3. I wish I could say anything about this game but I can't. Or, well - it looks weird.

Meh, yet another pathetic developer joining the xbox 360, I can't say that's good. Check gamespot, hell, here's a link.

http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/action/blackstonemagi...

Quite pathetic score if you ask me.

Now, people got excited about the two other games to be released by Cavia, that's another pathetic developer. Well, at least, they were pathetic last generation--anyone waiting for a miracle?.

If you see the reviews for From Software games before OTOGI... and, Capcom have some games with "pathetic" score...

More than likely alot different this time around seeing as Sakaguchi, voted as the most popular developer in Japan, is working closely with them.

Capcom, they are proven, in other words, when they really want, they can do some kickass games. Sometimes they don't have the resources (or don't want to use them) and come up with crap.......as any company.

From Software, that's good example, true. But Otogi games are pretty good, and that's all. I get the feeling some people think that just because they are japanese, they are good, and the 360 has the "STRONG!!!" support. The thruth is that From Software gradually got where it is (in great position)......a game that scored 2.4 or so....they have to reach 3, 4, or 5 before anything else. I'm sure they won't come up with something worth checking out.

But this just tells us the 360 is more accessible to small companies (and bigger companies, why not) than the PS3 for example.

Yet - another - crappy developer? Yeah, right alongside Okamoto, Mizuguchi, Itagaki, Sakaguchi, and co. The 360 needs more Final Fantasy sequels. More MGS movies. /sarcasm

I think this game looks like it would be cool. I'd buy it if it was ever released over here. Some people need to realise that we need and want more than just FPS and Racing games, especially in Japan.

After a 7 year period without playing an RPG of any sort, I'm finally starting to feel withdrawl symptoms.
I'll be eating up any and every RPG that gets thrown my way, surely.

NO. That applies to some devs. Some other devs, like Valve Software, in their first try, they had something really great, Half Life. Of course, they had some money. But who says this devs don't? They must have something, you need to start a company with some cash.

But then, if your product is good, cash comes courtesy of the Publisher. A good example are the developers of this game called......damn! That FPS with some kickass graphics being done by a few guys.......Sorry I can't remember. They obviously won't release the game without the help of a Publisher, but I'm sure that won't be a problem. They alone have created an incredible graphics engine--and possibly game.

And then the bank account just doesn't matter sometimes. EA has that, yet it reharshes the same game year over year (yes I'm talking about Madden and basically all the sports series). EA relies too much on 3rd party, such as Criterion (Burnout) and DICE (BattleField).....of course they have to when 90% of their games (actually developed by them) are either reharshed or just not worth checking out. EDIT: I'm not saying those games are not gold mines, the casuals love them....etc etc.

But anyways, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, I was looking at their history and they came up with Hello Kitty: Roller Rescue.......which received a little more decent scores. It has a chance, who knows.

I hate it when people just randomly throw around words like 'pathetic'. It often means they have some kind of prejudice or bias.

Yo Blim and manager, mistake has been made in this article; Idea Factory only published Blackstone (or eX-chaser) in Japan, game has been developed by Taiwanese company called Xpec, so basically IF has nothing to do that with that turd development-wise.
What Idea Factory is known for are those Spectral titled RPGs and SRPGs, they're not higly valuated as let's say Nippon Ichi games, but they do have their followers in Japan. NIS will be bringing their PSP game called Generation Of Chaos to US next year so maybe there's a chance that this game will be localized in western hemisphere one day too.
Hope this info helped to avoid further confusion. :D

edit: forgot to mention something else; first two Spectral Force games were released on PS1 long time ago, since then there were lot of offshot SF games but this is now true sequel. IF is making two more RPGs for X360 besides this one; Spectral Diario and Sangoku Fuushin (?) but nothing is know about those.

np :)
As for this game's info; genre is SRPG, like all Spectral games it's happening in fantasy world called Neverland, which is divided into 10 kingdoms who fight among each other (not too original eh?) and main hero is some kid who's trying to make name for himself as a mercenary (or a knight?). Game is slated for Spring next year in Japan, so it will be out quite soon.

You know something? There are people who don't like half-life, there are some that found it boring. They also don't like the dull, scripted, stupid AI and contrived puzzle filled sequel.

First of all let the sequel aside from this, no one mentioned Half Life 2, I won't even mention if I like it or not.

I don't care if there are some that find it boring. The game was highly acclaimed, and that's what's backing up my comment. I found it amazing 'cause at its time, there was nothing as perfected as that in the FPS genre IMO along with million others.

Hey, I don't like GTA games, does that mean they aren't good? NO, not at all, they just don't appeal to me. I see though, why someone else would like it. So my comment is generally correct.

Well, some people are tired of rehashed RPGs using the same stories involving some spikey haired hero tryign to prove himself and he meets a girl who just happens to be the key to saving the world/universe/kingdom. Then there is always the bumbling sidekick and the mysterious guy with a shadowy past. Oh, and of course the hero has to like to eat a lot.
