Namco-Bandai confirmed today the release sometimes in 2010 of Splatterhouse on Xbox 360 and PS3. I'm pretty sure quite a few of us already know what this will all be about, but in case you want to know more 5 images are available inside.

A game that sorely needed to be remade.

Visually it's a mess, and I don't mean that in a good way. But the original still has charm, so who knows, maybe something good will come of this. (despite Namco closing down the original dev team)

They should have remade it using a style similar to shadow complex. 3D sidescroller with elements of pure 3D. I just think it would have felt more like the original that way. we'll have to wait and see though.

I love the original 3 games so this is a must buy for me, though i hardly expect it to be stellar. Also i guess Biggy Man is confirmed then :)

The devs must be disregarding the fact that the original games were absolute shite, and the reason they were synonymous back in the day was that they contained copious amounts of the red stuff. It was the only ploy it had and made the series controversial in the 16-bit era (Turbografx-16 and PC that is). Why they think that warrants some kind of nostalgic remake is beyond me. It should have been a XBLA remake at best.

I wish we had someone like Tim Schafer working on this to reaffirm it's awesome. Despite whatever dingle berry thought the series sucked, it's better than Friday the 13th! There I said it...

Sorry, but the PC-Engine (TG-16 in the states) was an 8-Bit console, albeit with a 16-Bit graphics processor. And I don't recall any PC-Version, unless you mean the version for FM-Towns. Game should have been cancelled, I don't see any appeal in these screens.

But I agree with bramski, they should have remade it using a style similar to shadow complex.
