Press release PC Xbox 360

Whether you like it or not, DLC has become the new trend this gen and Splinter Cell: Conviction will be no exception as it will get some extra content as soon as next week. For 800 Microsoft Points, you will be able to play on four new co-op maps that will obviously unlock new achievements. Images and info inside.

Press release:

SAN FRANCISCO- May 17th, 2010 – Ubisoft announced today that the Deniable Ops “Insurgency Pack” downloadable content (DLC) for Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction™ for the Windows® PC games and the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft will be available for download on May 27th, 2010. The DLC will be available for 800 Microsoft Points or $9.99.

The critically acclaimed Stealth-Action hit of the spring takes aim at Xbox LIVE® with additional content this month. The Insurgency Pack delivers brand-new missions for Archer and Kestrel on four additional maps for Deniable Ops modes. Take on challenges in Hunter, Face Off, Infiltration or Last Stand to unlock new achievements and play in settings from the docks of San Francisco to a New Orleans cemetery, a prison in Portland to a hidden research complex in Salt Lake City. Sam Fisher may have his conviction, but Black Arrow is still out there – waiting for him.

The achievements hunters will be glad to know that 250 new points can be unlocked in this DLC.

Most will pass. People how gave any attention whatsoever to Co-Op (as they Really should, but most these days just want to play the campaign and get over with it), had their cup filled to the top, already. All others, just wanted more Campaign.

Why didn't Ubisoft release instead a new mission like they did for the first SC in Xbox in a OXM Demo disc, a DLC for a mission a ship( if my memory serves me right)?

I'm gettin it.

Co-op mode rocked, played it just as much as the single-player campaign. So these new maps are very welcome. Considering how much fun the Prologue co-op campaign was (especially that final mission), just wish these four maps included another co-op campaign with them, and not just more maps for the other four co-op modes.

As it stands though, I'm in regardless. Day one download.
