If they can find a way to make it more varied in the final build it might be more fun, but damn that demo was so not the type of game I call fun.
Blur FTW.
Also the cinematic presentation which is displayed as black bars top-bottom when a power play is triggered, gets old very very fast.
As Nietzsche says, it's almost as if you can see the race ahead of you and it then feels predicable.
It's not all bad though. The audio esp the engine note is lovely. And to be fair, the blur beta was massive compared to the S/S demo so maybe the MP will add some other dynamics not witnessed in the SP demo.
The power ups ,the handling of the cars etc. felt so strange.
I don't get what Bizarre has done wrong because with MSR/PGR they have proven that they can do more than proper handling.
But I can understand if someone doesn't get S/S either.
I will buy S/S after I have spent some time with Alan Wake and Red Dead Redemption.
I will rent Blur to see if it's better than the beta. If it feels better I'm gonna buy it too, if not I'll go with Sega Allstar Racing.
Presentation wise S/S is far superior, I love the sound over Blur. But Bizarre have nailed the gameplay down, and at the end of the day thats what matters the most.
(flushes toilet)
Will buy when cheap sadly I have no money now :(
