Stylistically i'm 100% on board now. But i'm still not happy about this mountain track approach to the courses. I understand why they're doing it. It alows more freedom, you makes your own way down, with no barriers or limitations, but it ultimately boils down to very samey looking environments, they may change the time of day, or the whether, but its still just a mountain made of snow and rock. Just not seeing enough variety atm. Specifically designed tracks of ssx and especially tricky may be more limiting, and less free-form, but they had so much more personality and charcter that helped them feel different from the rest. You"d never mistake aloha ice jam for tokyo megaplex, or garribaldi for mecury city meltdown. They where unique and full of style, colour and character, and i fear this game may lack that. I think each mountain is going to feel largely the same. Which will just be depressing to me.

I hope it retains the classic control scheme too, and the all important split-screen mode. But mainly i just want the awesome track designs of tricky.

I don't understand why people always want to make these definitive statements about the look of game after seeing 4% of it.

It reminds me of rich toffs or yuppies that walk into an art gallary and start talking bollocks about paintings and such like they even have a clue what the fuck they are talking about.

"Yes, one disagree's with the artists rendition of lighting here." "Hmm, rather. I quite agree, Wilfred. The lighting is all off. I've never seen such savage use of glazing. I prefere Monet. Would you agree, old chap?" "Rather, old boy. Now shall we go and sip some fine wine with crackers and cheese, and then after we can bugger each other?" "Spiffing!"

No, I think they look good! Especially if they are rendered from 3D constantly (I suppose they are).
