The rumor has been around for a while now but Star Wars Eclipse is indeed the next project by Brench studio Quantic Dream. Unsurprisingly, no release date has been announced yet, but we're curious to see what David Cage and his team will do with the iconic sci-fi franchise.

Commented on 2021-12-10 14:48:30Nothing wrong with Quantic Dream's games - putting aside the studio's controversies, but at first I was thinking it was KOTOR 3, which really excited me. Then I thought it could also be Jedi - Fallen Order 2, which got me excited as well. The studio reveal at the end was like if I had been throw into the coldest freezing lake possible.
This game still looks amazing, specially the species designs and the environments. And Quantic Dream's games look gorgeous, Just bummed it's not a 3rd-Person Open-World Action Adventure/RPG - afaik, would be great if Quantic Dream started doing other genres.
Hopefully it has many gameplay elements to make the most of this, because it looks truly interesting. I still want this to be that, because it really makes me want to live in this/these world(s). This legit looks far and beyond 1.000 times better than anything Star Wars I have ever seen.
Commented on 2021-12-23 07:25:44Lots of potential here though, QD is a great studio, detroit was their peak IMO -- there's no way they'll mess up now with such a big franchise as star wars.
