Looks leaps better than Warhawk, from visuals to gameplay.
Starhawk, in comparison to Warhawk, has modern shooter design in mind.
The way you aim, move around, the animations...etc. its like say Red Faction Armageddon.
Warhawk was really weird and just bad IMO, couldnt get into it.
Also, thank god they went sci-fi with this one, I hope the space battles are as epic as we see them in say SW Episode 3 opening.
And I expect some awesome atmospheric levels too (Mass Effect style)
Can't wait to play this game, gonna be awesome.
PS. I hope the music is as epic as Warhawk is, same composer is doing this one as well.
The whole western-sci fi reminds me of Firefly/Serenity, which I loved.
This video made me a little skeptical... sure it looks like a lot of fun, but I'm worried that they have changed too much of the beloved Warhawk formula in order to appeal to the mass market. Gotta play it myself to see whether it's a worthy successor.

They needed to change in order to appeal to the mass market, keeping it the same will not win them any new fans. I applaud the new look and the innovations like the tower defense mechanic are genius if they end up balancing well in the final product.
I hope the singleplayer portion is compelling as well, that was the achilles heel of Warhawk, ie not having one at all...lame as fuck.
