If Capcom had wanted to make an adapter so that you could use the original Steel Battalion controller on a new Xbox 360 Steel Battalion I'm sure they could have, I doubt Microsoft was stopping them. The fact is Capcom have gone on record saying they were never planning to make another Steel Battalion game until they saw Kinect and thought it would be perfect for a new Steel Battalion.
If you waggle, flail etc playing Kinect games then that's your problem for not being a hardcore gamer and playing properly. Go play that game on the Wii where you have to shake champagne bottles and stuff like that, it seems more like your level of skill.
@Corellianrogue dude what part of Microsoft contracting a Japanese game dev like Capcom to make this "STeel Battalion" game pretty much funded my Microsoft to try and get all the anime fans and Japanese/American mech fans?
Microsoft hyped the living crap out of this game way back, I came close to buying it day one but missed by some months and later got it pre-owned because I could not find it new... since most gameshops in the US refused to buy/order the $200 dollar controller/game bundle so now its a pretty rare game since so few were ordered to begin with.
It wasnt like it was supposed to sell in the kajillions but it was meant to be made, hyped, sell a decent amount and get support with sequels and it did get an online sequel/expansion...
Unfortunately Microsoft also decided to pull the plug very prematurely in XBox 1's lifecycle and rush a whole console generation based in their long in the tooth DirectX 9 API and while Microsoft was doing the rush, they also decided to screw every gamer who bought an XBox 1 by no longer supporting previous controllers for the sake of selling NEW ones.
Any 3rd party company could make an adapter since it was a USB connection but guess what Microsoft also gimped that idea so as the X360 would refuse to see anything other than the new controllers.
so pretty much its bad decisions on Microsoft's part... now they want you to waggle your hands and personally being seven years into this gen, I am disappointed as they could have easily made a new controller... but wait they are already making new consoles with cut down hardware... and thats both Microsoft and Sony just to pander to the CoD crowd... so we are S.O.L.
