Street Fighter 6, the next evolution of the fighting game saga that has sold more than 47 million units since its debut 35 years ago, will be released worldwide in 2023 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
This is very divisive for me, the art style is cool, but I'm not a fan of those colors coming from fists and legs. Chun Li and Ryu look great, however the two new male characters look awful to me. The mode that looks like free roam looks cool though, I hope it's similar to Yakuza, but in a Street Fighter way. If done right, the free roam could be a sort of Final Fight spiritual successor, because we're most likely never getting a new Final Fight.
I'm watching Maximilian Dood's reactions on the trailer and I did a 180º on the visuals, after watching this trailer dozens of times and Maximilian showing the trailer frame by frame, the visuals do look very good.
The animations are insanely detailed, very hard to see all their detail at normal speed, but the animation department did a phenomenal job. Feels like Rockstar and Naughty Dog level of animation, but with 3D characters on a 2D plane. The free roaming mode looks really cool as well.
