Xbox 360 PS3

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (what a name!) also gets some new images and will also be released real soon. One can imagine that it will be an almost simultaneous release on both XBLA and PSN.

Looks awesome! But did they enhance everything BUT the character models? Or are my eyes getting worse? =P

Looks like Capcom got lazy with the sprites.

Looks that way unfortunately. I was hoping they'd redraw the characters too. The lores character models from those screens look totally out of place with the sharp hires backgrounds.

Got lazy?

They've been using the same Morigan sprite since the original Dark Stalkers. Why is anyone surprised by this... more over... SPFII owns. They do look extra awful w/ all of the new high res assets.

Capcom said from the begining everything except the character sprites is getting an upgrade. The character sprites have just been enlarged. Its a shame for sure, but UDON are focusing more resources to Super Turbo :D

What's wrong with low-res sprites? That's old school right there.
I prefer my games to actually look like games, anyways.

No, even way back when, they built their assets to be viewed at a certain resolution.

That's crazy, why not redo the sprites?! They are doing that for SSFII HD! Shame really, it kinda jumps out at you.

Now THATS a JEWEL graphic (see my hexic2 comment).. makes you want to reach out and steal them all.

I hope you can turn off the sprite filter though. I'd rather look at the sharp originals in their pixel glory than that blurry mess.

It's Capcom if they can take the quick easy way out they will they have always been like that

Was going to download this but seeing how awful those sprites look now on the screens I'll just keep my PS1 verison still looks better. So far what I have seen of the artwork on this and the SF2 HD looks like fan done work not somthing a real company like Capcom would put out but lazy like I said.
