Xbox 360 PS2

Koch Media has announced that Superbike World Championship 07 will be released on the PS2, PSP, PC and now Xbox 360. This one is developed by Milestone, the same guys that did the first Superbike World Championship back in 1999. It did pretty good and got solid reviews, so this can turn into something good. While the Xbox 360 and PC versions will be released this autumn, the PSP and PS2 versions will be released in a couple of months. Inside you'll find some new images from the PS2 version of the game.

looking forward to this. love my racing games but track racer 73 and street racing 92 can get boring so im always looking forward to something a lil different in the racing genre such as superbikes, mx games etc

as for the screens presented, with them being on ps2 its hard to comment but it doesnt look at all bad so hopefully they can push the newer hardware as they did with the old

Holy shit I just realised that they have actually 20 racers on one track and that's PS2 ... I hope they can live up to my expectations now on the PS3/360.

Ps3 doesnt seem likely. From what ive read doesnt look like they have a massive budget. The devkits and the actual time and cost required for developing for the ps3 probably isnt worth doing. Plus this is a very western game and ps3 has hardly any market share compared to ps2 and xbox 360. So its a no brainer really.

Damn, you're right. They named them "Superbike 200x", and not "Superbike World Championship", so I didn't find them. Thanks, I've edited the news.

It says right on the pics that it is PS2! Some people just see the textures and instantly go into rage mode! :P

I have Superbike 2001, great game but I wonder how they plan to differentiate themselves from MotoGP. I didn't care about Superbike anymore with GP around.

I also wonder if they'll take advantage of the 360 hardware.

So I guess wait and see. Now, why are people bashing GP? How exactly did it suck?

@ Bingham, I'm actually surprised because you say you like motorbike games on PS2........where's there's nothing special there. MotoGP by Climax>>>>>>MotoGP by Namco......and let's not even talk about Tourist Trophy and the lack of triggers on the PS2 controller.

All a matter of taste Lebato personally i felt the PS2 game of Moto GP felt easier to control was a much more solid game. The 360 version could not get used to it at all it was missing pinpoint accuracy where for me PS2 nailed it. They took the game away from its good roots and the game i enjoyed the other PS2 title was Isle of Man TT not perfect but still good game for me.

I liked the graphics of Moto GP on 360 etc could not fault it the controls were way off though something was not quite right. I used to play with my friend twice a night or sometimes 3 times a week on Moto GP on PS2 for silly hours was proper hardcore at it used to have awesome fights but it was missing in the 360 version PS2 was much better at delivering a Moto GP experience. To add to that we only played it for over a month and got absolutely annoyed with the game the 360 version was shocking and i dont think i am the only one to mirror that alot of dislike to the game coming from alot of fans.

Oh ye and i nearly forgot the terrible slowdown the game had going around hairpins it was not a motorbike experience it felt not quite solid enough to match PS2.

Saying that though i look forward to the next 360 version as now the team would of had more of chance with 360. I think the next installment will be a great game i will be dissapointed if its not.

looks great to say its on ps2,but i hope theyu do a full 360 build and not port it,but i suppose it will be a port as it makes it easier for them to upgrade rather than downgrade.
i was hoping ps2 games where dead by now but obviously not

GP for Xbox (and 360) is a lot more realistic than the GP for Playstation. The GP for PS2 is alot easier, yes. Maybe you just don't like realism. The difference is big, and of course, triggers surely beat no triggers.

But thanks for explaining, I don't see the problem with the handling of the bikes, that's probably the reason I bought it considering it was pretty much a remake of GP3 with a lot better handling.

Never played the Xbox version but the PS2 one wasnt that easy to master took alot of skill and had realism to me so to say i dont like realism would be a false assumption.

Maybe it might have been due to trying to get used to it with a new controller seems to be ok on other game with controller though so not so sure.Braking and using front and rear brakes using shoulder buttons on PS2 controller was easier then it is using 360 i felt it to be more precise and more effective. But anyway something was not quite right for me didnt keep me long playing it as much as the PS2 versions had them from the start of Moto GP and played all the series so im not new to game.

Like i say all of matter of opinion i think the next game will be better id like to think so.

Played SuperBike 2000 on PC, it was really cool. Totally agree with everyone who wrote that Moto GP was suck and looking forward for more info on this one, because bike races are not so often released.

MotoGP and realism do not fit in the same sentence, except in this one that proves the rule.

Tourist Trophy is the best bike simulation I've played on a console. Everything else is like running a freecam on an oval track, aka nothing to do with driving in the slightest.
