Maybe looks a little similar to power stone in visuals, but it doesn't look like it plays even remotely similarly :)

I wish it did. I'm not really feeling ARMS so far. I watched Combo Breaker today instead.

I will give the test sessions tomorrow another shot.

Looks like a fun game, also visually looks good. Although I doubt its 1080p and there is some heavy AA solution in place.

I'm always little weary of nintendo games that are supposed to be like competitive. Then again, i never tried Splatoon and that's supposed to be really good.

It's got a weird feeling that I can't really put my finger on. I think it has to do with the lack of immediacy to any of your actions. Punches are so slow, and take so long to connect. It's a 3D combat game about projectiles where you don't actually aim. You're basically trying to read dodges and hope that they make a mistake that lands them in the area of an attack.

I don't know. Even when it's working it feels clunky to me. Shame too it looks very nice.

You can aim, you control the direction in which the arms go, and you can tilt the Joy-Cons (or the stick) to change the direction if the opponent moves.

I actually managed to tilt at the right time to punch an opponent that dodged. I tilted because I saw him dodge, and luckily my arm could turn quick enough (it was the boomerang thing of SpringMan), but others can be slower to turn.

The game is really fun and precise, I didn't wanted to buy it before this demo, now I want it and can't wait for next weekend :D

You can "aim" but I don't find it very precise at all. And with either input method :/

I just don't find it as predictable as other multiplayer games I play, which is maybe a deal breaker for me. But I'm glad that people are enjoying it more than myself. If people are finding fun with it that I'm not, then there's something here that I'm not seeing is all

Yeah Splatoon is supposed to be amazing

I figured you guys would be all over this as it's a rock/paper/scissors style game

This isn't Powerstone.
if only.

i think the perspective of this game and it's emphasis on motion controls really kills it's appeal. i would have preferred a powerstone-like arena fighter or even a traditional 2D fighter with these long arm characters with unique abilities and move sets.

i can't imagine this will be a splatoon-like success.

It plays fine with traditional controls. They are just promoting the motion controls heavily.

I like the IDEA of the motion controls because it reminds me of twin stick arena games like Virtua On.
