Loved the other two games. I've been wondering about this game for a very long time, however this doesn't seem to be the quality i was expecting. or at all the same art style. these guys should seriously check back with their artists and jump on the UE4 train.

I love this series as well, but God forbid it happens. Every single game should be powered by its own unique engine. Otherwise we'll never see nothing new and only identical effects and possibilities over and over...

same engine doesn't mean identical visuals and art style, not in UE4's case anyways. if you have ever loaded the UE4 SDK, the engine is capable of changing between everyone's art style and hardware. In no way does the engine effect the artist's creations.

Example -
Character model rendered in graphics engine.

UE4 does not automatically slap on any filters, you can put in your own filters if you like. The reason why a lot of artists creations may look similar is from their teachings and methods they learned from their designing schools.

There's the point in your words, still, even UE's glitches and other faults are the same. UE games are easy-recognized. Besides, one thing is to be realizable and other one is to be done.

UE4 glitches are not shared either, UE4 is always receiving updates based on developer feedback. Everything is changing with the engine and community.

A lot of gamers were convinced a Medievil game was in the making.

The engine is very capable of convincing everyone that it may not be UE4 based.

to be fair on the unreal engine, the 4th version is a damn sight better then the last one. UE3 was 99% of the time very VERY recognizable for all the wrong reasons. hated that engine. UE4 though seems better in that regard, although i do think an engine built from the ground up is always preferable for a game and it's systems, rather then shoe-horning it into someone elses.

as for this:

i think it's too early to say. but UE3 has the universal issue of texture streaming that was rife in even EPIC developed games. i'm sure there are similar issues within the UE4 engine. but not many big budget games have used it yet, so who knows.

I love Siberia, so this is welcome news.

But I do agree that the artstyle seems different from what I remember, though that was over 10 years ago, so my mind may be playing tricks on me.

Still, I rather see someone continuing Kate's story than no continuation at all. I hope they deliver a great game like the previous ones.

One day I went to Syberia's studios... I saw it's author and he told that the game will be different beacause our way to play is different than before. Improved techs, improved mind, improved game :) But I'll wait for the release to see how it runs.
