The demo of Tales of Vesperia is available on the Japanese marketplace since a few hours, and I found some time to record a first video. Enough to listen to very average English dub, and see how busy visually the fights can be even at this low level.

Got owned by the end boss in any event :) but I believe I'l pick this game up for sure. Just gotta wait till august.
And omg its a next gen version of TOS ^^ the battle engine looked pretty good so im happy about that.
Hopefully the story line is just as good as TOS was because that game was awesome.
Jolli, Can you explain plz ?
Jolli, Can you explain plz ?
From pervious TO games you get a set amount of AP points which you can allocate to spells (the more you use the spell the more experience you get and unlock new higher versions of that spells)
In TOS you could change the character you controlled so you could be melee, healer or blackmage, not sure if you can play as the dog (that would be kind of kool though)
After watching this video more im getting a strong TOS vibe (its the same team i believe) and I really can't wait.
It may not look as pretty as Trusty Bell, but I am betting it will make that game look like trash, I thought Trusty Bell/Eternal Sonata was a huge let down personally.
There is a discription of TOS's battle system on this wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tales_of_Symphonia
Whens the next video coming Blim i need to see more >.>
PS: I burst out laughing when I saw that the little boy was called Karol! :D
3D battle field is one innovation at least.
But most tales of games the battle system slowly forms, it start slow with just the basic and halfway in the game you got pretty much it all so it's very possible the fighting system is much deeper later on in the game taking account the previous games.
But whats unique in this game series is just pretty much the fighting system, and hence it's what I like and the reason why I like the series. Couldn't care less for innovative, as long as the story is decent and engaging.
This sucks
looks great to me - def gonna get it
