You sound like you're just trying to get attention... You won't even spend a couple dollars to rent it to find out if you like it? If you're really that desperate download the TDU 1 demo and see if you like free world racing and imagine it with better graphics, bigger environment and better physics and you have TDU 2.

I just got home with my copy of TDU 2 :).

The good news:
It seems that at least they tried to rebuild a few spots of Ibiza, like the airport, Eivissa city with its chathedral, or the privelege club.

I wonder how near they are to the city when it comes to streets. I think I'll buy it.

Been playing this a bit - maxing it out on my laptop - and the graphics are a hugely mixed bag. Most of the environment is pretty ugly, although ground textures are very good. The cars aren't bad, some are better than others, but the character models are TERRIBLE! I'd go as far to say they look worse than the sims character models. Play it for yourself and see what I mean. When you go to buy your first car the garage dealers looks like he has 1 polygon for his whole chest :S

@shazui : It's a Racing game not an avatar game ! Will you prefer 1.000 polygons in cars and 20.000 in avatar models ? Honestly, avatars are really corrects for a game like this one !

But I'm playing it and they're not "really corrects" for any game :/ Plus the game allocates a lot of time to the avatar - every cutscene (of which there are a lot) involves 3+ minutes of solely character model screen time and they're really, really poor. For comparison it's about as good as the crowd of spectators - in GT5 - at Eiger Nordwand. At least GT5 keeps the camera a good distance a way from them. It's not just that though, the visuals are quite good and then quite awful at times :( this is what it's like with all settings @ very high in 1080p on my laptop. God knows what the 360/PS3 version's gonna look like

i know a lot of people dont agree with you but how did you find the whole licence test crap, i mean if i wanted to do this licence crap id play a racing sim like GT5, i diddnt expect to find one in this game not least cause its the most irritating thing when you accidently bump an AI car and instantly get failed or even when the AI bump into you and you fail the test it gets very frustrating.

on the whole my first impression of TDU2 is very poor and im seriously thinking about not getting it for either the 360 or the ps3, no wonder theres no demo this time round, my guess is eden/atari must have realised what they have done has completly ruined what was once a solid fun mmo racing game and turned it into a arcade game that thinks its a full on driving sim, even the exagerated female avatars with there bouncy bits is OTT, sorry but im gonna stick with TDU1 till this garbage is sorted out.

Yeah, me too! Are you playing it on PC? I've turned it off after steering towards the bottom of a steep slope made me slide AGAINST the gradient of the slope.... The handling physics really are awful (playing it on 'simulation' mode) That and the start is... well it's awful. Way too 'yay I'm a 20-25 year old in Ibiza look at me drivin mah car' if you know what I mean. They should have just made it a caRPG and left it at that without the half arsed dialogue and interaction :/ I really want to like it but I just can't :(

Oh yeah, btw, wtf is up with the recommended requirements?!2.2GHZ Core 2 duo, 2gb ram and a GTX 280?!? I'm running it all @ very high, vsync on @ 1080p with 2xAA (any more is pretty unnoticable @ 1080p for me) and I'm getting 40+ FPS with my laptop which has a desktop equivalent of a 9800 GTX :S

im only running a core i3 370 @ 2.4ghz 4GB DDR3 and a 1GB GDDR3 nvidia 420GT some times it runs really well then suddenly the fps drops to nearly unplayable, your right about the start of the game, what a complete let down, hardcore mode isnt even hardcore mode at all, all it is is no driving aids just like the first game, in TDU1 the DLC hardcore mode was way different and much more fun this on the otherhand has taken the fun out of the game and left it dull and boring hell even the first few cars are crap no wonder people are already cheating/modding there games on both the PC and 360, i was looking forward to this but not now ive had the chance to play it its completly rubbish compared to the first TDU.

not only is it quite poor in comparison to TDU1 but the fact you cant even play it just makes it that bit more hopeless, lol and to think last week atari/eden/namco bandi said they diddnt need a demo as all the testing was done and in less than 3 days the game needs several fixes already as no one can actually play the frigging game, lol i hope this is a very usful lesson atari/eden/namco, demos are very important as not only do they give an idea how the game will look on which ever console/pc its on but also any bugs to do with the inital startup will be ironed out only in this case they wernt ironed out and soon youll be recieving thousands of complaints from gamers wanting thier money back.
