The games concept and gameplay and graphics are awesome, and I can't wait to get my hands on it.
My PC sucks as shit, so console version for me :)
Can't wait for the full trailer!

I for one expected to see some mercs in the game, or something along those lines.
Something to tell me it is not Ace Ventura: Africa Rescue :P
Can't wait for the full trailer!
Looks visually stunning, and could potentially be one of the best games of 2008.
Amazing
Far Cry is not overhyped what so ever!...but it will as soon as new media and infos shows up.
I won't have any problem with it, because I love what I see in Far Cry 2, so bring it on.
As in, will it be focussing on the beast ability thing or will it be a proper shooter?
So, it's called the DUNIA Engine. Most impressed, I am.
The only thing that is gonna be different is the graphics of course.
But how much different is yet to be seen and too early.
digi_matrix, +karma +rep +rep +vote, whatever you want that was hawt.
It's such a funny thing because the developers were going on so much about "We're focusing on the PC version" and everyone knew a console version would be announced, and now it is. It's just odd because I'm sure they planned console versions all along (unless they're even dumber than I give them credit for), so why did they bother with that shit?
Far Cry 2's engine: Grass blows in the wind and gets trampled, trees can be shot apart, clouds pool together to affect lighting conditions, sun filters perfectly through treetops and roads are dynamically altered by the tracks of passing vehicles."
Choose your own adventure: You don't play as a specific character in Far Cry 2. Instead, you pick one of 10 choices, and the rest (plus three others you can't play as) will be fully autonomous buddy NPCs living in the game world. You can take missions from them or work with them, and they'll help you in return. You can even kill them if you wish- if you're a jerk.
Also of note is that saving your game is handled via houses you'll find in the game world. You can sleep in them and set your alarm to wake up at any desired time. Thus, if you want to try and tackle a particular mission under the cover of night, you can set your alarm for 2 a.m."
50 sq kilometer game world, no scripted A.I. behavior, or on the fires that can burn the dry grassy plains and flammable huts."
not sure how much of this info is known or not, but thought i would post it anyways.
I'm sure they'll have to make a few trade-offs here and there for the console versions, mostly in graphical fidelity. But if all the physics/AI interaction is in place for the console versions as well, it'll be awesome for sure.
Can't wait to see some 360/PS3 gameplay footage!
Hope this works out well.
