Trailer PC Xbox 360 PS3

Frozenbyte shares a teaser of Trine 2 that shows some of the new environments from the DLC. The latter will also offer a brand new story within a six level campaign, new enemies and new abilities for the three heroes. No name no price yet, it will be released later this year.

Are you saying this:

looks better that this:

??????

I mean that game has like 3 gradients of the same color, I respect tastes in art and all that though.

Trine 2 definitely looks fantastic. So far what I have played it, I like it more than the first game too. I am excited about this.

@IRAIPT0IR - different visual styles, so some people would prefer Trine's, others - Journey one.

I'm not saying one game looks better than other. Still haven't seen Journey in motion.

Its more than artstyle or colors. Its the effects coming from the environment and how it looks when your interacting with it. From how the sand forms to how sand blows you back and how it looks when it happens is simply amazing. Things like the snow level and how the snow freezes your cloth and how the cloth moves too. The way the weather just acts, the lighting and along with everything elses puts that PSN game in a class of its own. Game almost literally gets more stunning with each level all the way up to the end. That pic you showed does not even come close to being a representation of what you see on screen. Its seriously lacking details and looks dull.

But Im going with this post of yours GangstaNip, not by what does what in both games.

You said is not even the "best looking" game, as in what looks better in a HDTV 1080p for example.

What do you mean? Those things add to the look visually because its graphical detail. Like i said, the picture you posted is lacking in details from the environment its self and the picture looks dull. Anybody who's actually played the game will tell you that. The ripples in the sand for example are NOT in that picture. You see this on screen even when its still.

Ripples on sand are a effect, if you leave your character still in Journey and in Trine 2 in order to measure what has the best visuals IMO is obvious wich game looks prettier.

Doesnt matter what game has the better effects in sand, or god rays or whatever.

Trine 2 has like the whole rainbow in display almost at all times, while Journey has like I said a gradient of 2 colors maybe the whole time.

I agree that the art style is lovely and I love it for what it is and what is trying to acomplish but in terms of visuals Trine 2 shits on it quite easy IMO.

Thats the thing, you missed my point. If you looking at that pic, the ripple and sand lighting is not even there. In game it doesn't move till you step on it or the wind blows hard enough but its still their for you to see without interaction. Its NOT in that picture. You post posted a pic missing graphical detail that IS part of the visuals you can see thats their while its still. You argument about colors on the rainbow is like what im arguing, you can see it at all times. And choosing colors is your style choice thats all.

Journey looks better then trine, technically its much more impressive. Artistically it's subjective. But personally i'd much rather look at a dahli then a devinci painting, but that's just my taste. Which has more colours on screen at any 1 time? Trine. But that isnt all i look for to judge style. Hell, i'd say limbo looked better then trine and that's just black and white. Trine certainly looks nice tho.
