Trailer PC Xbox 360 PS3

Mass Effect 3 was announced (surprising about no one) during the VG Awards ceremony 2 days ago, so here is its teaser trailer. Hype level, rising.

Somehow i think EA are going to force Bioware to really dumb it down.

Hope im wrong.

Like they did with 2? I think you will find its Biowares choice not EA
I just want more stat use, felt pointless in the second one, but as i said before i rented the second one and i can never invest myself into rented games always end up rushing them and not enjoying them :( so buying it for PS3 with the extras and take my time :)

I love the gameplay in Mass Effect 2 MUCH more than ME1, felt more actiony, more intense and it was fun to use the biotics.

I hope they follow the same formula for Mass Effect 3 and some more, maybe a bit more stats involved would be fine.

Anyways, I cant wait to buy it on PS3 (have it on PC already) then ME3 on PS3 as well, such an amazing franchise.

PS. I hope they start adding much more stuff to the face customization this time, they barely did anything from ME1 to ME2.

This one will definitely get GOTY. Mass Effect is the best RPG series ever made.

I wonder if the Xbox 360 version will be exclusive for a while.

Why would you bother getting it on PS3 if you already have it on PC? You have the superior version already...

Same as me? personal preference, i have a PC that will piss it, but i would rather play it on xbox, and to be fair i would rather play it on my PS3 over my xbox.

But why? It's at a lower resolution, worse framerate, worse graphics, longer load times... Considering you can hook your PC up to your TV and use your regular Xbox controller to play the game, there is absolutely no rational reason to play it on any other platform if you have it on PC. It's like playing GT4 on PS2 when you have GT5 sitting in your PS3 ready to go.

I have heard GT4 is a better game...

I prefer playing on my consoles, i prefer the experience surrounding it, there are people who i know who own xbox 360 and ps3 and still bought bayonetta on PS3 because its there prefered machine.

PSN chatting with my mates on there ? the fact i prefer ps pad (after finally getting used to it...)

It's personal preferance

it's like i dont understand why people still listen to LPs when they got CD i also dont understand why people pay for digital music when they can own the disk for the sme price, i dont expect you to understand, its just the way people are, we like something we stick to it.

Like sath refuses blind to listen to anything but soundtracks (not even daft punk!) but to be fair i am the same as recent, i have only listened to soundtracks for that past few months now... there more intresting.

Mass Effect 1 was great, had a tight story and made me excited just like when I played Knights of the Old Republic. Mass Effect 2 had tighter gameplay but was disappointing story wise, this will probably be worse than ME2...they went in the wrong direction story wise IMO...

How can they possibly dumb it down any more than ME2? ME1 was fantastic, despite it's flaws. ME2 was so polished that there was hardly anything left in it. I truly hope that they realise what a mistake they made with ME2 but I doubt it.

Pretty much. ME1 was flawed but the universe, experience, free roaming and story made it feel more than the sum of it's parts.
ME2 on the other hand was very polished but felt small, cramped and generally dumb. I mean; that endboss? Seriously?! There is a reason that I don't watch Hollywood tripe any more and it's rubbish like that. I expected more from Bioware because they have proven that they can do better than that. At least ME1's endboss was somewhat barely believable AND it had an awesome twist.

The only new character that is actually interesting is Mordin, the rest is utterly uninteresting. Also, fuck grunt, gimme wrex. >:/

Sorry to say dude but a lot of people on most other websites disagree, just this website seems to have the most rabid fanbase for ME2

Same as conviction, go on the offical forums and its full of chaos theory lovers and conviction haters.

It was a better shooter, for the rest it most definitely wasn't.
The stats management was rubbish. The Inventory management was rubbish. The dialogues where much less deep. Environments where small, cramped. The loading screen was even more rubbish than the elevators. It completely lacked an antagonist. The enemies where uninteresting. The new team mates where mostly uninteresting. etc. etc.

Oh well I don't know what game you guys played then, for me it had better missions, better performance, better gameplay, you guys talk about management? that was crap in the first, 3/4 of teh stuff you manage it was only converting stuff to omnigel, basically wasting time.

I agree it should have been a more refined one but to say that was one of the reasons this one wasn't good it isn't a good one at all, the other thing the Mako or exploring worlds, there was not much in that department, after like the third time I went to a planet I was getting bored already.

The role play was there in ME2, hell I felt that I was roleplaying more in ME2 than in ME.

BUt of course the fanbase its clearly split here so there is no point in argue IMO.

Lets hope ME3 has stuff you guys want and the gameplay of ME2, surely you guys don't want the gameplay in ME better than ME2 right.

I think the best ME3 would be a merging between ME1's stats handling and ME2's general feels plus new features.
Like some people here, I prefer ME2 than ME1. Why? Because ME1 is awesome, but lacks of a real actiony gameplay, a fluid game(can"t say about PC, I'm playing on Xbox), a good feeling. ME1 was, for sure, deeper, but well, the general feeling was better on the second one because it had the advantage to offer us a real game and not a "hey, we have a veeeeery big world to visit with your crappy vehicle, and a veeeeery big database of weapons and armors to use with crappy menus!". ME2 is less deep but more efficient :)
And imho characters of ME2 are more interesting than ME1's ones. I mean, Kaidan, Ashley. Seriously, what was interesting about these two?
