Namco-Bandai released this new Tekken 6 trailer on the Xbox Live Marketplace, showings lots of characters in motion. Fans will love it, I guess.

That was great. It's been a while since I've had my hands on a Tekken game, last one I played was 3 on the PSone I think. Not too big on fighting games but that trailer was well put together. I'm just hoping they evolve the animations a little. The fall back animation specifically.

DOA 4 is still great and as good looking as this game. on top of thats its 4 years old ;)

I think DOA4 looks better. The lighting, animations, and environments in this game are pretty subpar. I remember everyone bashing DOA4's graphics when it was first revealed too, probably because everyone had higher expectations back then.

I like the excessive use of motion Blurr....

But I still think DOA4 looks sharper and cleaner...where's my DOA5 Team Ninja!

The flickery shadows aside i think this looks way better than DoA4 but the fact that you guys seem to think that DoA4 is a better game just ends the argument right there, i'm not going to bother :)

Really looking forward to this as the online mode in VF5 is a complete ghost town now. T6 should at least attract enough people to keep the online scene going for a while.

You silly man :). Everyone said that DOA4 said it "LOOKED" better, not that its the better game. I myself am a huge fighting game fan and I love all the games equally. Looks great!

You talk like Tekken has a big reputation.

Who is better is arguable, but both are ninjadogs before VirtuaFighter.

No way, Shun Di is the greatest and ORIGINAL drunken master, just like DOA shamelessly ripped off the original 3D fighter, at least Tekken is a different formula in terms of play style and controls. In fact every time DOA introduces a new character, it is a martial art style that has already been done in the VF series, they mostly just slap some tits on the character to mask this fact.

Top ten 3D fighters will always have Tekken and VF in the top two spots, in my very humble but completely correct opinion which is pretty much actually a fact :)

Couldn't agree more, VF and Tekken are top 2 and in that order. What comes after that is debatable though :P

I really don't understand where all this praise for VF has suddenly come from. It's like the cool hip new thing to mention when talking about fighters.
It's the most realistic surely.

Also Tekken has been like the horrible sibling everyone wants to ignore in recent years. There aren't many fighters that Tekken is better than. Maybe DOA, but that's also because DOA doesn't get released as often or receive as much attention from it's devs.

Virtua Fighter has ALWAYS been one of the most beloved game in the fighting community with only Street Fighter being the one that tops it. Also, it's funny how Tekken is a "horrible sibling" but is in virtually every major fighting game tournament while if DoA is even selected it's thrown in the corner with 8 people playing it.

I don't think it's trendy to like VF but anyone who really likes fighters usually sees why VF has such a hard core following. You may not like it personally but VF is one heck of a fighter. DoA is just crap in my opinion, it does nothing that other fighters don't and it lacks in many areas. Might be fun for a casual player and it works great (much like Soul Calibur) when you play with inexperienced players, but i wouldn't even consider playing DoA competitively (not that i'm good enough to play any fighter competitively, but still). No i'd advice anyone seriously in to fighters to pick up their arcade stick and give VF5 a serious try, once you get over the rather steep initial threshold of learning the basic game it's really rewarding.

I don't like fighters so much but...I prefer DOA anytime. Faster combat, sleeker moves and easy to get into and the epic multiple level throw outs!

Now let Momiji will join the DOA girls roster in DOA5 (TN, after NGS2, make it happen!)

And my ultimate reason why I think DOA is awesome...Ryu Hayabusa (then Hayate and then Ayane...if only Momiji was in it :(!
Pulling a big epic Izuna drop from a very high level all the way down to the bottom is just badass!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l04jiZrczz8 the first two Izuna drops, awesome!

Sath: but that's just because you are the hugest NG fanboy this world has ever seen ;)

But yeah, it's about what youa re looking for. If you don't want anything more than "Wow, that's so badass!" then DoA might do the trick.

Well yeah, I am a huge NG fanboy!

The thing is that DOA is easy to get into, even my sister was button mashing and was having fun and doing neat stuff with Kasumi and Ayane, even all my cousins, until we started a tournament in DOA4, loser hands over the controller to the next person, was very fun.

If it wasen't for Ryu, Hayate or Ayane, okay and a bit of Kasumi...I wouldn't rank DOA as my favorite. I like fast, sleek and stylish characters that does awesome moves and those characters goes in there with Ryu on top, next one is Ayane because she is damn fast!

Tekken never had multiple levels to make it feel more organic in the fighting, but now they have. I wish DOA had more levels like Tekken though, more fire levels, temples, rain with thunder, forrests...etc.more atmospheric levels.

But you are right about your second comment about DOA being something for me if I want that "wow thats so badass" thing.
Sure its not a very deep stuff like SC, but it makes the job done and fun and easy to get into, and its fast and sleek, the way I like it.
