Telltale reveals new Batman game and more

Telltale Games has revealed its upcoming projects prior to the opening of San Diego's Comic Con. Set to premiere August 8, Batman: The Enemy Within, a second season for the Dark Knight made in partnership with Warner Bros. and DC Entertainement. Confirmed for 2018 is The Walking Dead: The Final Season, the fourth and final season with Clementine in lead role and also the much awaited second season of The Wolf Amongs Us.

gaf's impressions seem pretty negative. plus the engine, while improved visually, is still a mess. i mean, it's hardly a stunner, but it's 720p on xbox and 900p on PS4. still has wonky animations and poor performance with big drops in framerate. whether the story is any good i don't know. i heard the GOT telltale game was shit but i managed to enjoy the story at least, despite everything else being a huge pile of jank.

i think this studio needs to lay off the announcements, especially for the licensed stuff. go on a hiring spree, weed out their shit animators and put more money and time into these things so they're of a quality people expect from a game, because it's getting harder and harder to see the positives (story) through the jank (everything else)

I quite enjoyed the first season of Batman, I thought it was pretty good and I had zero problems playing it on pc, framerate wise or anything. The problem with Telltale games is they all have great stories but gameplay is quite dull, sometimes you can help but feel they would be better as tv episodes than games considering how little you actually play. I think they should act more gameplay elements, puzzles or something, otherwise the formula, which was attractive one day, will end up becoming tedious and repetitive.
