It still makes absolutely no sense why you would be able to do damage to other cars but your car doesn't take any damage. Also, the dash view still leaves a bit to be desired... We'll see if the fix the craptastic physics once the game actually comes out.

I really hope they fix the controls. I really want to like this game, it's just the controlling of the cars is a turnoff.

audioeric, they said they didn't want to put damage to your own car cause if you drive around in a beat up car it just wouldn't appeal right. I'm glad they left it out actually! Damage doesn't make the game. However the demo felt Test Drive ( if you've played the last one for the PS2/Xbox ) for me. This is going to be no Forza Motorsport, so don't expect that. however, i'm sure, since the demo was just a DEMO.. i'm sure they made the game a more solid feeling. It's just a demo, remember that.

I'm looking forward to this game coming out. =)

Seems it's fashionable just to rain down criticism on this game, I enjoyed the demo even though it was a very early build. I'll be pre-ordering without a doubt.

The demo showed that the concept had potential--but it's potentially a mess of a game too. I'm still interested in trying a final build, but the game obviously doesn't look like the screenshots they release..bullshots all the way.

Looks good.

Your cars don't get damaged because of licencing. The Car manufacturers don't want to see their pretty cars get all beat up and smashed. Even though they might have got some manufacturers to agree to it, if even a couple didn't, they'd either have to leave out those cars that didn't (you want more cars right? so can't do that) or have some cars that could get damaged, and some that can't (which is silly). So they took the route that they wouldn't have damage on the cars.

Its the same reason PGR3 doesn't have extensive damage modelling.
