From Software released the official TGS trailer of Enchant Arm, along with 2 gameplay videos, all in direct feed of course. I'm not a big fan of the fighting system, but I'm sure some will love it. Update : Video 1 now online.
My personal opinion is that this game seems to have a vision that is not fully toned to be smoothly cohesive. I feel that the developers have talent and drive, but that this title feels somewhat rushed and cobbled together. I almost welcome a delay, so that this opportunity for the XBox to properly enter the Japanese RPG genre could be properly sharpened.
Otherwise, it might just end up embarrassing itself, even if Enchant Arm to be a "pretty good" title. Anything less than excellent would be insufficient to change the audience (especially the Japanese audience)'s opinion of the perceived incompatibility between the American-made XBox and the Japanese-made RPG.
Looks pretty good, combat looked ok to me, but would actually have to play it to really form an opinion, though I hate the random battles(is it really so hard to come up with some other encounter system?). Graphics look excellent, though.
I agree with blood the combat system looked different but there was nothing worng with that great backrond depth in the game pretty good texture and bump mapping that last move that that blue guy pulled had a very movie type look to it. I think that it will shape up well
It's looking quite good. The environment's are quite colourful and vibrant, the city square area for example looked pretty cool, hopefully the game will offer allot of exploration gameplay. My opinion on the developers choice to go for a turn based battle system is split 50/50 I think they would have probably done better to have gone with a real time battle system like FFXI for example, but it didn't look to bad in all, the attack scene's between menu selection looked pretty nice. But I can't really come to a solid conclusion about the game just yet. At this point it looks pretty interesting, graphics aren't really that spectacular but still look nice none the less, I can't really comment on the gameplay until I've actually played the game or read a review. hopefully the Developers will "tone" the game until its "smoothly cohesive" before release :P cheers for the vids btw
