Sega released these 66 images of Armored Core 4, showing captures from five different sequences. A strange way to show a game, but it's nice with some new ways too. See the comments for some GIF animations of them.
Im willing to bet the PS3 version, which was up and playable at TGS. The 360 version wasnt even mentioned at the show, atleast not that I could see. The AC article in the PS3 book doesnt have it listed as "also on", although I do find it ironic that in the MS handout it pretty much brags about a game being a PS2 port.(Diario)
You would think though that it would atleast be mentioned. In anycase, this makes me think its likely the PS3 version.

Sega did this announcement when they released the last batch of screens a couple of days ago:
SAN FRANCISCO (September 21, 2006) - SEGA® of America, Inc. today announced that it will publish Armored Core® 4, the newest addition to FromSoftware's mech-based combat franchise, Armored Core. From the developers of the acclaimed title Chromehounds™, Armored Core 4 is scheduled for release on the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, in spring 2007.
I really like the idea of customizen your mech. I've the psp Armored Core, but although the controlles and all are nice, the game sucked. I don't like the idea of just facing one enemy like that etc. I want missions like in Mech Assault.

So it's still X360 at least.
Yeah, I saw the announcement and was very happy about it. Just noting that at TGS, we got nothing. I wonder if the announcemnt before TGS was there to take away any anxiety there might have been from the complete lack of any X360 AC4 presence at the show.
The game was amazing at the show, even if it broke down(which it didnt in the 3-4 minutes I was there), once they complete the title it could very well be the best mech game ever made.
Hot damn! That skating looks really nice. I haven't played the others in the series, but this look like a promising mech combat game and could have very decent multiplayer judging from that 2nd gif. Still early stage but looks pretty good.
I read that the game kept causing the PS3 to shut down several times at the TG06. Is this game a beast? I also heard the same story for Ridge Racer7 and Fatal Inertia due to bandwidth issues. Is this true? Cool flip book, but why didn't they just release a video instead.

I hope you don't have to use the d-pad to move like old AC games
Damn that was a hard game. Designed just for fans, I bet.
