Xbox 360

Project Sylpheed, developed by Game Arts and published by Square-Enix, was also waiting us on the MS booth. Honestly, as I haven't played the game myself yet, I can't tell you if it's as messy to play as it is to watch. But for what it's worth, the guy playing seemed to have a good time, and I may have recognized a Panzer Dragoon Orta-inspired lock system. Good news ?

Messy you say. The screen shots alone were enough to scare me from downloading the file. I'll pass on this one, but thanks anyway. I was under the impression that Square developed the title and not just publishing it. So this means that Square won't be supporting the 360 while leaving the trash that was FFIX on our system. I guess the cow ran out of milk because I wasn't buying.

So you have planned not to buy this because you don't think the screen shots look very appealing.

I think it's more like you planned not to buy it to begin with, your just trying to be cool and have a stab at the game.

It looks alright to me, not my type of game though.

actaully i read the preview on ign and they liked it so it shows how shallow you are by judging a game on a screenshot lol

Gameplay looks frantic indeed. But fun, I bet!

There aren't much space shooters around lately, so Sylpheed is appreciated =)

famitsu totally shat on the game in their reviews =P

bah i was a bit interested in seeing how this one was going to turn out, but it was obvious square didn't care about it from the get go and the sales will reflect such.

I though Famitsu game it 6'8'8'8 which isn't that bad.

30 out of 40 is 75% thats about average.

Famitsu reviews are worth nothing. They gave True Crime NY the same score as Ninja Gaiden and Halo 2...

Goddammit leingod, that avatars gotta go. Every single time i see it i think "hey thats Rei from nge ah how nice" and then i notice "oh damn it just some dude with same hair". It really irritates me :| Or is it Rei? It kinda looks like her and kinda doesn't. Can't get it out of my mind.
And ontopic. This might be little too messy for me. But japanese dig that?

Nah, it looks like a lot of sh!t is going on in those screens that may take away from my enjoyment; specifically the visuals. I'm a die hard Robotech fan, and I see its mark being forged. I don't like the simulation look.

Look at the screen almost ever word there is in English, i think its safe to say its coming to the US and Europe.

This isn't anything like a simulation, thats why you really should watch video's before making statements.

Apparently Snoopers thinks the game is a bit messy also. I'll trust his judgement. He did after all see the game in person. I usually don't judge games by the screenshots at all. There was a video of this game posted earlier this month and it didn't impress me at all.

Looks pretty good to me. Only problem I have is the UI is taking up too much of the screen.

doesn't look very good, run of the mill shooter, last squaresoft game i enjoyed was Tobal 2, and that was Dreamfactory anyway, theyve made crap since, unless you like generic jap rpgs anyway.

Heh... it's not Rei Ayanami, It's Fayt Leingod from Star Ocean series. And I don't think blue hair is that unique on japanese animation XP

LOL they did? Really? ... that's enough reason for NEVER... EVER care what the L Famitsu says. I mean... True Crime is some serious crap.

But I would agree this game looks kinda average. U don't need to be Einstein to notice SquareEnix isn't giving any real effort for X360.

I had a chance to play this one today and I was very happy with it, granted im a long time fan of the silpheed series(to which this bears little to no resemblence), but also to shooters in general so im a bit biased.

If you read the text that goes along with those reviews, you're realise how bad they are.

I don't know about this one, but I have sort of a soft spot for the franchise name..I may have to check it out regardless.

I don't know guys. I haven't played a space shooter in years. The developers are first person shooting us to death and I for one wouldn't mind if a few game houses decided to revive the genre.

I mean at one time there was Wing Commander, Colony Wars, Free Space, Tachyon and SW: Xwing vs Tie Fighter.

I'm going to give this one a shot. <pun intended> lol
