I've still have a few gameplay videos to encode from the TGS before heading to X06. Formula One is the first one, with an especially nice looking Monaco track under the rain.
The cars and the speed sensation seems fine and the effects are well done too. But apart from that it just looks like a sloppy 2'nd hand job I'm afraid. The lighting is very plain making it look way too arcady 90's and the lack of track side detail and sloppy art direction just makes it all fall together. A tree is not just plain green for crying out loud! Dirt isn't just brown. And a race track isn't just boring grey. Just Bring the colors together more, instead of using the colorwheel like a 3 year old baby.

I actually think it looks pretty decent..but have pretty much no interest in F1 racing (and love racers). We should trade opinions ;P

this game looks very average,no where near the standards of other titles,the rain looks good,but comon guys you cant even see the track if you behind a car,whats the point in making the water effects so over the top
