Video Xbox 360

Another video by DjMizuhara, this one a long part of the Crackdown 2 presentation he got a chance to see last week. No doubt it's Crackdown, and I'm certainly not going to complain!

Want. Now.

Although the competitive MP looks bloody awful so I guess I can wait for that to get sorted.

Day 0!!
Day 0??? So you're never going to buy it?? :P

I was disappointed when I saw how similar it looked to the first for gameplay. Thought the first one had a great concept but hated the shooting mechanics and the physics. When you kicked someone or threw a car everything looked so weightless almost like you were on the moon.

very disappointed. Unless the online offers something truely new then i'll pass.

Loved the first one.. and played it ALOT - which is why i'm disappointed in this.
The visuals look simply the same - though at a higher rate. It is said to only be at 60% though.. why show it now i dont know, obviously MS were reaching for something new to reveal at TGS.
But the thing thats disappointed me is the fact that its the exact same city.. and the first game was built around exploring every inch of the city.

The first game was cool but the lack of content and stuff to do made me throw it ina corner.

Had fun online with friends tho but there wasnt enough things to do to keep on playing.

There was loads of stuff to do. And as idiotic as this may sound, you played the game wrong.

I hope there is a way of taping these missiles on a car and then making a rocket out of it. Also I wonder if you can shoot that car across the water to another island... with another agent in it of course. The achievements for Crackdown 1 made half the game, they need to come up with even more of this over the top shit.

That was a good waste of excellent cell shaded graphics. Considering how little tax cell shading puts on hardware, you'd think that developers would use it more often to create fantasy rpgs, more innovative platformer, or something new and exciting. This looks to be the first Crackdown with the exact same formula and nothing really new. I think the first game was a gambel, but it's success was sorely based on the fact that it was a launch title and people were just trying to get their fix for the new console.

Dude Crackdown was released more than a year after the launch of the 360. It was released months after Gears (THE show-piece of the 360, everything was measured with a higher standard after Gears) and had a lot of favourable reviews going for it without having the bonus of a big name. Halo beta helped the initial sales but word of mouth made the game a relative success on the long run.

This game was the first of it's kind, and no matter how much people praise the clones that have been made recently, they still haven't surpassed the king. For a lot of people who played it it's still the best game of this gen (or at least one of the best).

(wouldn't say the first, we can go to the hulk: U. Destruction, but it was the first GTA-alike of this kind)

In 2009 it was inFamous vs Prototype.

In 2010 it will be Crackdown 2 vs Just Cause 2.

And so continues the battle of over-the-top open-world games.

The original Crackdown could rape Just Cause 2,that its not even fair to put it to compite against C2.

Crackdown remains to be my game of the generation,if this game surpase it well that would be my new game of the generation and as far as I can tell everything in this sequel screams Crackdown at 10x LOL

Well Crackdown is, hands down, the best open world type game I've ever played so i'm hoping part two will keep the same quality. I love the smoke effects :)

I liked the first game a good bit, but I'm very disappointed with what they showed. Since RealTime Worlds isn't developing this one I'm expecting it to be a big let down.

Quite a few key personnel left RTW to form Ruffian so it isn't as if they are without history.
