Yes- it's been said, by the same person over and over: This is the best looking racing game ever. We all agree. These are slightly 'altered' shots, but it's still true. Forza is the best Sim on the market- GT is the best looking. So for those of us that have both systems and aren't flaming fanboy's who think one thing is more important than the other....ahem... we can keep dreaming that one day- the best looking and the best performing will be the same game.

Ah. To dream.

It's just that lighting and the shaders, isn't it. Looks amazing. Still prefer FM3's environments, though. Both lovely looking games in their own respects. Still, they are taking their sweet time, aren't they, so you'd expect it to look nice.

GT5 is a visual stunner for sure. Right now, the only thing that concerns me is the gameplay.

For me, GT has the best driving physics.

Anyone know how long this game has been in development? I made some educated guesses regarding PD in a neogaf thread before I was banned. What I said then turned out to be true...

Terrible dev, takes too long, no control, no list of features. I wonder how much $$$ they have blown on this.

I honestly dont care how long they take or how much money theyve spent as long as the game delivers at the end of the day. The feature list is neither here nor there, they drop hints at things, they deny other things. Past experience with the franchise gives me hope that it will be pretty content rich, and they have a history with prologue of releasing extra content for free (OMG free, surely u gotta charge through the nose for everything).

GT5 started development, when prologue released (December 2007), thats 2 and a half years, and don't forget they also had GT PSP in development too.

i think Terrible devs are those who release the game fast and make tons of ads(advertisement), just to make more money then any other devs.

anyways it looks like people don't know how to find ways to bash this games.

It has learned that the game has a good day / night cycle and it will - finally - can run in the rain. Similarly, management of tire wear will be in the program. Degradation will vary depending on the quality of pilotage and the rise in temperature gums. This will make it possible to optimize its sets of tires and driving studying graphic races, explained in detail in the video.

The Gallardo looks awesome.

Development couldn't have started after prologue was released otherwise prologue would not have existed! Prologue is a derivative of GT5 development, duh. Same goes for GTHD.

So yeah it's been in development pretty much since GT4 was released in 2005.

@toelessfoot, wrong

GTHD and prologue were using upgraded GT4 physics engine for testing measures. GT5 is using a whole new Engine.

it's been in development pretty much since Prologue was released in 2007.

Whre is the proof that it a new engine and is in development since 2007. Im calling this BS. Was GT4P build on the GT3 engine? No it was just a work in progress caputure of GT4.

It would be nice if the cockpit view actually looked that good. Of course the textures won't be that clear and the AA won't be nearly as good, but all things said and done, GT5 will be an amazing looking game. No doubt the best looking cars in gaming history.

As for the gameplay, PD has always been a step or two behind Turn 10 but even if it's not up to Turn 10 standards, I'm sure it will easily be good enough to enjoy this game for a really long fucking time. I just hope the online is done right.

My only dissapointment (besides waiting 'til summer '10 in the U.S.) is that there aren't as many tracks as I'd hoped for.

Still my most wanted game on the PS3 by a mile. Cannot wait to finally play this game.
