Video Xbox 360 PS3

DjMizuhara really is unstoppable as he still has some videos from the TGS to share with us. After the campaign mode of the game a couple of days ago, here is a video showing some more regular Tekken 6 gameplay.

Well al little more fun to watch than the previous videos since this guy at least knows a few moves. He has no clue about spacing and stuff though. It's kind of fun to see how he takes it up the rear from Mokujin there in the end cause he's trying to spam unsafe moves :P

Yeah I was thinking the other day that DOA4 has been out for 4 years and it still looks and plays better than other fighters. Man I miss Itagaki

I remember people hating on DOA4's graphics when it first came out too. What I probably like most about DOA4's graphics is the uniform use of colors and really sharp image quality. The animations are still the smoothest I've seen of any fighting game.

DOA4 is definatly the prettiest fighter out.. those that probably hated on the graphics no doubt did so because it happens to be an exclusive game - as is always the case.

DOA4 i still play, and still see new moves.. crazy considering i've had it since release. Just a great, technical, beat'em up.. and i really hope i get to play a 5th one soon.

shame its sub-HD resolution.. least on the ps3 anyway. On the 360 its apparently only sub-hd when the blur effects switched on, once off its standard 720p - strange

I'm not sure about DOA4's graphics being the prettiest though, probably on par with VF5 (some things look better in one game and some in the other). But yeah, it was the first fighter of this generation and is still probably the prettiest, more user friendly and obviously the one is played the most after SF4 (on consoles).

But this is a Tekken thread lol. Go talk about Tekken people!

You really think DoA is the biggest after FSIV? I would have guessed Soul Calibur.

Graphics are good enough. Sad to hear that the PS3 version doesn't run on true 720p.

Tekken veterans always make it sound like it's pretty hard to get into this game. I hope I won't suck too much at this. Maybe I should put SFIV aside for a little while and finally get into T5:DRO to gain some basic knowledge before T6 launches.

Proof people can't read, DF never said the PS3 version is sub HD
they said from analysing released screen shots the 360 was 1280x720 & PS3 was 1024x576, but the actual game on 360 when tested was 1024x576 on default
the PS3 version is yet to be analysed, and considering the arcade version of T6 runs on a PS3 board, it's very unlikely it'll be a lower resolution then that on PS3, but as said the PS3 version hasn't been test yet, it may have the same problem the 360 version does
but currently it's the 360 version that runs sub-hd, not the PS3 version.

You created an account just to type this shit up? Neither versions can run at 720p native while motion blur is on. When it is turned off, the 360 version runs at 720p with no AA while the PS3 version maintains the subHD resolution only with 2xAA (which balances it all out in the end).

I didn't facepalm that, i faceplamed the statement where you see new moves all the time in DoA4. You must be a real avid player.

DOA4's graphics were great apart from the long hair. Odd that its still the best looking fighter around.

This is looking good and i may pick it up

lol. I sign up on Gamersyde and get offended for that. Your maturity is below the score. I visit this site and read comments every day since a long time, so signing up sooner or later to add my own comments is logical.

I know that, but that doesn't render my comment false. Fact still is that the Xbox 360 version can run on true 720p, even if you have to turn the motion blur off, while the PS3 version can't. Also, AA doesn't balance out a lower resolution.

Then again, as long as it's 60fps and looks decent, who gives a crap about a few pixels of resolution? As long as it's not too noticeable when playing i don't see what the big deal is.

If we assume that the sub-HD resolution is the usual 1024x600 pixels, that's exactly 307200 pixels less. 600p would be about two thirds the amount of pixels in a true 1280x720 output. You think it's not a big deal, I think it's a disappointment in the generation of the so-called HD consoles.

But I don't blame the developers, they probably had to do this to avoid a framerate drop (many developers who want their game to have 60fps do this, CoD 4 comes to mind). If I had to choose between a lower framerate and a lower resolution, I'd pick the lower resolution. My point is, it would have been way more awesome to have both solid 60fps and 720p.

Anyway, I'm gonna enjoy Tekken 6 nonetheless.

Yeah well obviously they have to work against hardware limitations and i think the more preferable option is lower resolution, as opposed to lower frame rate. Especially in a game like Tekken.
