Trailer PS4

Sony had a few Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- demo stations in their booth, and we recorded a few fights at 60 fps of course. The Cel Shading technique used in the game certainly is impressive.

Interesting to point out 60 fps because Ironically the animations of this game were intentionally reduced severely to imitate anime. With the game being 3D, the end result of 60 fps with choppy animations makes for a weird eye perplexing combo.

it would be nice if they allowed you to remove the fps cap on the animations.

i guess the gameplay is 60fps, while the super-combo kind of thing may reduce the framerate since you can not control your character during the performance.

not sure whether i'm right, but infamous second son has an average framerate over 30fps
however when you use the super power bomb, the framerate will drop to 20+ fps

I still can't believe how beautiful this game is. They really nailed the 2D look with 3D models.

I don't think imitation has anything to do with the 'choppy' animations. GG is a 2D series despite the 3D graphics, so moves are going to come out much faster. That's just tradition. If they used slower animations it won't feel like GG, or 2D in general
