PS3

Our deer DjMizuhara took the time to grab a japanese copy of Folklore and captured the usual ten first minutes of the games, following the events of the demo of course. He plays with the male characters and goes through various environments and ennemies. Enjoy !

I know this is just the first ten minutes but Man the combat looks boring. the game is gorgeous though!

The combat really requires some more abilities to be interesting, I thought the demo had good replay value, it's more of an RPG, so if you think of it that way, in which the gameplay is in the development of abilities and techniques, the coimbat is unimportant imo.

The combat reminded me of something but I can't quite remember what.. Especially the ability you get late in the demo with the big rolling boulder thingy. The way that interacts with enemies when you shOAAAH!!! I remember. Zelda.

Totally not the same! I slap myself! I was thinking of the big iron ball weapon in Zelda TP which does feel similar, but it just totally isn't apart from that.

Anyway, making this post into something more than just the monologue that should be on the INSIDE of my head, I agree that you need more abilities before the combat feels better. I'm not convinced it's that remarkable as a game despite that, but it's surely good fun nontheless, based on the demo.

Just watched the clip, looks beautiful and to me a lot of fun.

Tips for Dj: Use lock on more often, and use R2 for the dodgind ability, very useful at times, and you never used it in that clip.

Flamethrower blowfish, what will they think of next!

Cool, I like the design of the game. And even the little things like the run animations and the effects lol. Will definitely pick it up when it's out...I'll need a ps3 first of-course.

heh he really likes that rolling beatle attack , but he never charged it to the max - quite a shame ...
he should try to use more combos .. well the game isn't all that hard so he won't run into much trouble with his playing style ,but it just feels better ,if you use long combos and always capture like 4+ souls at once :P

From what I have heard the plot is heavily text-driven and only the cutscenes have english voices. Too bad, this would have been the perfect import but the story is important to me so I will wait for the english version. :/
