Trailer Xbox 360

Everyone thought it would happen some day, and now it's official: The Xbox 360 Avatars will be in Guitar Hero V. And the video showing them in action doesn't actually look as bad as I thought it would.

yhea, i though they would look really bad like some Miis in other games non-Nintendo, but they really mesh really well with this kind of game.
I like more the look os the Avatars than the first Guitar Hero Fugly rendition of musicians.

Are you forced to use them? I mean considering the ingame character creator since GH3 and Rockband is way more advanced than the xblive avatars, it feels like taking two steps back ;/

Sometimes I forget just how blatantly MS ripped off Nintendo with the whole Mii thing. Always good for a laugh

WTF? Well, I have to hand it to Microsoft's marketing. I personally thought there were way to many beat and rythm games coming to the market. This feature alone may have been one of the most brilliant marketing tattics to drive sales of a game that keeps on going regardless whether it does anything new in each version. I won't be buying it, but you have to admit Microsoft's getting better at this. Now if only they'd stop robbing its fans with the overpriced marketplace (mainly microsoft points).

Sooo...animation looks pretty crappy, teh avatars look boring and soulless and i don't much care for the game. Instant win.

Stuff like this just shows how badly Microsoft has lost the plot in it's attempts to copy everything Nintendo is doing. Just embarrassing.

The 360 used to be the ultimate hardcore console, but now every time I turn it on I see those stupid little avatars waving at me. The damn things are everywhere, and boy do they look terrible. Worse even than Miis, if that's possible.

At least Sony had the common sense to hide everything to do with the train wreck that is Home completely out of sight behind a menu icon.

Aren't Avatar's merely a continuation of what they were doing already on Messenger for years? I'm pretty sure the concept has been around for years.

No i'm completely new to the world.

Ofcourse i do. But you also realise that Microsoft is not behind this game. If Avatars are written into the code its because Activision desire them to be so.

I can see the appeal of this. Playing 1vs100 the avatars give instant recognisability and add a bit of personality.

But no, I hope Activision chokes on it's billionth rehash of the same game.

I'll be honest. I think the avatars playing the insruments look better than regular shit models, If only the lip syncing was better.

uh, Sony and there six axis, yeah they had that planned all along. Well, at least they did after Nintendo showed off the Wii mote. So that isnt copying. Let's see. Sony's wand(s), those sure as shit look like wii remotes to me. Sony has home also, guess they had that planned before the Mii's too.

Youre a douche bag. Everybody is copying everybody.
Acheivements/Trophy's
Mii's/Avatars/Home people
Sonys failed attempt with SixAxis/Sony's Wands/MS's motion\body controller/ Wii Remote

No see this is how it works: Nintendo is good. They are innovative and brilliant (the fact that they still release the same games over and over is irrelevant). MS is bad. Whenever MS releases something it's either broken or a blatant ripoff of something someone else did.

Obvious? They'd look incredibly out of place and stupid with "normal" guitar hero band members.

You do realize that i think MS did not rip anything and that i don't really have anything against them, right? I might have a small personal beef with Nintendo for making the wii something only for casuals, but then i also realize and accept that that's exactly what it was made for: attracting casuals.

I read Megido's comments with tears slowly flowing out of my eyes. I think the Megido has so much negative energy pushed into his comments that he should go see an astrologist and practise some cleansing feng shui.
