Digital Extremes released two new screenshots of The Darkness II. It's not much but it'll have to do. After all, it's just the beginning of the week. Mike Patton will be the voice of the Darkness once again, now let's hope Kirk Acevedo will also be back in the role of Jackie Estacado.

Not liking the comic book look. Me being there day one pretty much depends on Kirk Acevedo returning. Glad to see Patton's back though.

As long as it keeps a similar mood to the first I'm game. That feeling of horror and despair mixed with bad ass action was strangely intoxicating.

The graphics look like a weird hybrid of Bioshock and Borderlands.

Man those character models are just horrible. That's the only thing I have to complain about so far. The cel shaded look is fine with me.

From people who saw the game at more than ED, it looks pretty good. But its still being worked on. It has a way to go. Its always silly when people look at things at this resolution with that much compression and think it's a good representation of how it will look. Wait until quality images at the very least, if not a video.

I hope the style they are going for looks as good as something like Borderlands, although I don't think that the actual cell shading is needed. Or at least, it should be better handled. It's never good when a game has a cell shading effect that is always the same width and around every edge.

i really dig the look of this game, reminds me of the artwork for condemned. textured and detailed, but with a very obvious outline. paton's involved so i'm already sold. maybe not "buy" sold, but i certainly want to play it.

looks terrible

I always wanted to play the first one cause I love Riddick on PC (both the original and the remake, too bad Dark Athena sucked) but I don't wanna buy the crappy PS3 version (360 ver was superior)

It really did. The art style for this is horrible; they should have maintained the direction from D1.

on the plus side, he's not sounding much like nathan drake/nolan north, and does sound pretty good.
