The first free update for Tom Clancy's The Division is coming tomorrow, April 12th. This update will bring Incursions which are new end-game cooperative missions as well as loot trading, new gear, high-end weapons, Dark Zone supply drops and more.
Went in today on my own and extracted 5 times with other guys whilst ghosting Rogues. Quite tense on your toes type gameplay and i was only killed twice by gold AI.
What is going on on this site? So many new members acting rude and trolling.
Because he said "you just need to not suck at shooting."? Seriously? It might be worded a little bit harsh but he's correct, you can extract solo no problem, you don't even need to be super tough you just need to get used to the mechanics and start to get a feel for when to unload a clip, when to roll away, when to boost your health etc. etc. early on there's a disparity between how quickly you kill NPCs and get killed yourself inside and outside the zone so you tend (or at least I did) to get forgetting you're more fragile and not being cautious enough.
I just started a second character and used that character in the zone at level 16, I went from rank 1-12 in about an hour and extracted 6 times, all whilst solo (with the occasional gunfight side by side with another human).
So, yeah. The amount of problems I've had with the game come from having a life, basically. I'm only level 30 something in the DZ and my gear is not entirely yellow. The game mechanics are simple enough, though I do not like that the game is relying more on crafting gear than the gameplay. Though, supposedly this will change with Incursions.
My experience with the DZ has been good when with a group, but bad when solo because I'm constantly destroyed by level 60+ people out to murder or grief or troll or whatever you want to call it. All I know is it sucks when it happens. Then, to add to that, the difficulty in clearing out AI around the extraction point and being hunted by these assholes, whom by the way, love to proclaim themselves as bad-asses because they're higher level than you in a fucking video game, makes extracting sometimes an impossibility.
Very rarely have I come back to my corpse and not had it only be that same Purple Jacket I've been trying to ditch, but ultimately to have to kill the respawned AI. I can definitely see how the game has turned some people into cheaters and made others so jaded they just leave it alone.
The new guaranteed yellow from bosses is going to have an interesting result. I predict extraction zone griefing at an all time high, and egos.
I didn't play DZ very much, only level 15 in the DZ, because I'm solo for the most of time, and it's just too hard to fight a bunch of level 32 enemies. It's already hard in challenge missions to fight level 32 enemies with other 3 players, not to mention in the DZ on my own.
And I haven't touched The Division for about 2 weeks by now, this is another big time blackhole like Destiny, the end game experience is just farming and farming… Well, I have other things to do…
I absolutely hate the dark zone. Alone, there is no way you will extract stuff because the enemies scale with your level, doesn't matter which part of the zone you are. You are always outnumbered by a lot.
So you have to join others in a team. But most of the time, you have a higher ranked player that isn't happy with the loot because he already has better gear, so they don't join you to the extraction point. In other words, you're screwed most of the time. I have given up on the dark zone.
I use to have this same problem. What I done to change this is stick to DZ1 area, and level grind. It's usually four enemies patrolling a street corner. Merc them (also have an sentry perk that shoots flames) that will make the match go alot quicker. Also carry as much armor as possible. The more armor, the higher your defense stats. Lastly, if you see someone else fighting enemies, randomly join them. There is definitely strength in numbers. Lastly, the extraction. Use the extraction in DZ3 because the enemies are usually purple, which are a lot easier to kill than yellow enemies! I always toss my flame sentry on the ground and pick off the herds of enemies. It helps if you have an powerful weapon. If you're level 35, I will join you. My PSN tag is loakum.

And I've met plenty random people that I extracted with as well. You must not have tried more than once.
