TOM CLANCY’S THE DIVISION® EXPANSION III: LAST STAND, UPDATE 1.6 DETAILS REVEALED

Join Division Agents in Stopping Rogues from Capturing Important Tactical Information Left Behind in the Dark Zone

SAN FRANCISCO – January 20, 2017 – Today, Ubisoft announced details of Last Stand, the third expansion for Tom Clancy’s The Division®, and the next update, Update 1.6. Both pieces of downloadable content will be available simultaneously and will release on Xbox One, Windows PC and the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment center. Update 1.6 will be available for free to all The Division players. The Last Stand expansion will be available as part of the Season Pass, or as a standalone DLC purchase.

When the situation in the Dark Zone escalated, as the outbreak spiraled out of control and all semblance of civilization collapsed, the Joint Task Force was forced to withdraw from the area, leaving behind important tactical terminals; SHD tech data relays loaded with operational information. Now, Rogue agents are closing in on those relays and if they manage to get their hands on the information, it would be catastrophic for the SHD and the mission to save New York. It will be your job, together with a team of seven other Division agents, to stop that from happening.

In this upcoming expansion, players will be introduced to a new way to experience the Dark Zone, in a new game mode, Last Stand. The session based adversarial mode will feature clear objectives and win conditions while incorporating key elements of the Dark Zone such as PvE enemies and Landmarks. Players will be part of a team of 8 Division agents (two groups of four) fighting against a team of 8 Rogue enemies (two groups of four) as they attempt to capture the tactical terminals. The first team to transfer enough information through the terminals will win the session. In addition, Last Stand will bring more PvE activities to The Division, including a new incursion.

Alongside the release of Last Stand, the development team will also release Update 1.6 which will expand the game map, add new special Contamination events, introduce Exotic weapons and add a new Legendary mode. The northern parts of the Dark Zone will be officially unlocked and players will be able to experience Dark Zone 7, 8, and 9 for the first time in Last Stand. Conditions in these parts of the Dark Zone are especially bleak and will be filled with some of the most eerie environments and challenging NPCs in the game.

Survival DLC really kick started The Division back off again for me and i think a lot of other gamers when it came out. This will do the same and it's great that it's still garnering a lot of attention because tbh it's a really good game.
