When you look at screens you can actually see a lot of mostly minor flaws. I think they are using assets, lighting and post processing very cleverly.

In the words of Jeremy Clarkson: "Absolutely Astonishing"
There is no game that we know of that comes near this level of graphical fidelity. Mind blown. Flabbergasted. Jaw on floor. The last time I remember being this blown away was when id first showed id tech 4 at that macworld way back '01 I believe.

agreed. Especially being a "realistic" looking game where photorealism is the bar, not some other stupid fantasy or zombie game where you throw some neat effects and thats all you know.

this on unreal engine 4... ugh.

The first really true next generation thing I've seen so far. No talk of hardware, specs, or numbers. It's all software and workflow based. Exactly the kind of thing needed to drive the industry forward and raise the bar. Here we're seeing the kind of thing the film industry does for high end CGI, only now these techniques are being applied to building a gaming world all in real time. Node-based engines to go with the node-based industry standard packages like Maya and 3DSM. Ryse did something similar with it's importing of assets and dynamics straight to the engine. This looks like it's a level above that again. Can't wait to see more of this, and I wouldn't be shocked either if the footage seen here is in fact the console versions.

tbh i dont think this game needs 60fps to look good

the xbox one has no chance in hell of even looking half as good as this

Based on what evidence? Please don't say Watchdogs as an example. It can't count for obvious reasons.

This is not a tech demo. It's the actual game. You're seeing the actual engine editor here.

Yeah i dont get why people think ubisoft wont deliver those graphics. Its crystal clear that consoles might not achieve these visuals but the pc version will definatly look like this. They even said that the pc version of watch dogs now even looks better than the 2012 demo while the ps4 version is the 2013 material. Just get it people pc is capable of fitting in three 4 terraflop gpus. Thats 12 terraflops of raw processing power. PS4 can achieve better graphics however but only if its a first party optimized to the metal.

Yeah, compared to Watch Dogs this game runs on a completely different engine that is designed from ground up for current-gen and everyone should know that launch titles never reach the full potential of the console hardware.
It certainly looks jaw dropping and I can't wait for more details about this gorgeous title.
