Finally it's here, the much hyped Blue Dragon. I've only played a little so far, but I'm not disappointed at all. What a beautiful and fun game! Our complete impressions will have to wait for Gamersyde Diaries 3, but I'll already let you enjoy the first part of the game's long introduction. Parts 2 and 3 (and maybe 4) will be uploaded during the week-end.
Update: The second part is now online, with some fights, a bit of exploration and of course lots of cutscenes.
Update 2: Third and last part available, with some hilarious robot-parrot thing and finally the shadows!
Update 3: I've been asked numerous times for yet another part so there it is, this time you'll get to see a bit more of the fighting and exploration system, and the first boss!
This game also officially kicks off our official partnership with the excellent import shop Play-Asia, that will supply us with import games for your enjoyment. If you can't wait for the official US release of Blue Dragon, I highly recommend buying it from them. I've been a customer for years before we started working together and I've never had a single complaint.

hell yeah!!!
The game looks extremely cool, but I don't know if I could get through 50 hours of turn based random battles.

As for random battles, there are none. You can pretty much avoid every fights if you want to.
Yeah there are no random battles man.
But seriously, I was kind of confused with some of the switching between playable and CGI. Like some of those parts, you would walk like 3 feet, then it kicked back into CGI. But on a plus, the switch from real-time and CGI was hard to notice. Great stuff MW

How can you think what you seen so far was horrible.
Did you understand what they said?
It's a rpg with over 40-60 hour gameplay much event and story to be played out during.
When this one will ship in Brasil?? ç_ç
Maybe with subtitles in Portuguese? =D~
o/
the CG is basically the same as the in-game but with better lighting//animation/articulation..i like it, in fact, they could have done them all in-game and done away with 1 of the discs...but i do see why they used CG for some of the scenes...
Sakaguchi and Mistwalker are already off to an incredible start. Seamless cuts between fmv and gameplay seem to be a nice little trademark of Mistwalker titles thus far. This is of course judging from Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon.
