The embargo around DiRT is finally lifted, so it's with great pleasure that I release these three videos I recorded last week. You'll discover quite a lot of environments and a few game modes in there, and no doubt the majority will agree that this is a great looking game even if there is a lot of tearing and slowdowns in some modes.
As for the gameplay, I guess you all tried the demo so you already know how strange the handling can be at times. DIRT sometimes feels like a simulation, sometimes like an arcade game and sometimes like a big "WTF is going on?", very difficult to describe. Also worth mentioning are the incredibly long loadings between each race (thankfully only a couple of seconds for a restart), made slightly more acceptable by the excellent and very slick looking menu interface.
A game I can only recommend if you actually managed to get around the strange handling in the demo. Then you are in for an excellent single player experience.

Thanx for the vids.
best racing game on the 360....i think so.
Game looks stunning though.
Blim: Do they have many of the Cyprus Rally tracks in there still?
Even at 30 fps, I wonder whether we would have been better off with 8 cars on track and maybe less trees, grass, whatever slow downs the game...
Otherwise, when you look at that and then, you have to deal with the horrible reflections on car's hoods in Forza2...
Demo put me well off it, which I'm rather thankful for to be honest! I've gotten Motorstorm and Forza 2 within the same week, and Flatout Carnage is due in a couple of more weeks. I'm already waggling my feet to accelerate when I sleep at night.
Any ideas?

Handling was not hard, but very annoying and boring.
Considering Forza 2 looks bland but plays just insanely addictive and fun, Dirt is the very opposite of Forza 2 I think.
