First 10 minutes PC Xbox 360 PS3

One can't say that F.E.A.R. 3 was really anticipated by players this month but it was released this week and those interested in the game will be happy to see it is given the usual Gamersyde treatment. You will find the introduction of the game along with the first 10 minutes inside. More to come a bit later today. We are showing you the 1080p PC version which oddly runs at 30 fps, enjoy!
Update: Two videos added.

Oddly? Nah, just ported code from the bastardized console versions.

The action and shooting in this game is pretty good and most of all the controls on PC don't have any of that mouse lag or acceleration.

But the game overall just isn't scary as the first game, mostly because there are a lack of apparitions.

I was quite disappointed in this game.

On the one hand, the gameplay is the best in the series. I actually enjoyed the new cover mechanic and the controls just seemed very smooth.

But the story and scares just weren't there for me. The entire story felt rushed and is really just there to get you from point A to point B. It's easily the least scary game in the series.

Loved the first 2 but everything about this one puts me off it. Although I really want to try the ****ing run mode, nothing entirely original exactly but can't say I can think of a game with a mode like it. I would actually just buy the game mode separately if the opportunity arose.

I don't mind this game at all and in fact quite enjoy it. Granted it's not as scary as before.

Only got as far as the mission after you hijack the plane so far, so annoyed they've made it less scary! Sure, the Killzone-style cover system is great, but that's not what I liked about Fear, I liked it because it made you shart yourself every 10 minutes :(

Now here is a game that I did not think I was going to enjoy at all outside of the F***ing Run mode in multiplayer, that I am finding to be all kinds of win.

No it is not scary, as some have already pointed out. And to be honest, after Project Origin, I was not expecting any games in the series to be scary any longer, as Project Origin was not scary. But what Fear 3 is, is a solid shooter, with above average graphics, and surprisingly well laid out levels and gameplay, and plenty of modes to keep you coming back. Co-op mode is a complete blast, and they copied that PEC thing from the Tom Clancy games, and a lobby system reminiscent of, but not exactly like, Halo.

And to think, just a few weeks back, I had absolutely ZERO interest in this game AT ALL.

I've played the entire series, and was even looking forward to part 3 until I heard that Day 1, not Monolith was making part 3. I think the real shame is, Day 1 has managed to do as good a job, or better, than Monolith would have done.

The game just feels nice, and is a lot of fun to play, whether it is single, multi, or co-op. Even with my excitement about F***ing Run, I was going to skip over this game until I could pick it up used much later in the year (I mean, who pays full price on a game for one mode). But I wound up in a position where I could get it free from OnLive, so I said what the heck and I would at the very least play the demo and make an educated decision of whether to spend the free coupon code on Fear 3 or not. By the end of the demo, I was so enamored I took the plunge, and am very happy that I did. From where I am standing, Fear 3 is definitely the first surprise hit of the summer. I hope it does well in sales, as it deserves it.

And to think, this is the first game from Day 1 Studios since they made MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf, that not only is worthwhile playing, but is a helluva lot of fun to play as well. If only Day 1 could make more games this fun, they'd have long ago made a name for themselves.
