Bethesda released Fallout 3 on PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 last week, and here's the First 10 minutes. You're not instantly entering the wastelands, so this video will show a bit more about vault. We also have some older official videos at the game page where Bethesda themselves shows how it looks when you left the vault. The game's visuals has surprised me, indoor environments looks pretty good which you will see in this video.

Gotta say its a badass storyline; its up there with Star Wars: KOTOR; Mass Effect; and kinda with Bioshock (Bioshock was kinda ok)
You just cant play this game for extremely long sittings tho; high stress low health situations
Its not the end of the year yet but this is my GOTY right now lol
now its time to wait for Gears of War 2 :D
btw
If you havent bought this game then its a def. buy ;)
It's a game that almost literally puts a gun in your hands and tells you to do whatever you want to, it is easily one of the most non linear games i have played.
Some people are a bit put off by the dead and barren wastelands that the game features, but if you look closely you will see that it is packed with detail and style.
The combat is a perfect mix of fps action and rpg strategy, cool skills and a ton of different weapons and enemies keeps the combat fresh and fun even after countless hours of playing and the absurd amounts of gore also helps ;)
I urge everyone here to give the game a chance it's a bit different from most console rpgs, but if you give it the time and patience it requires it will truly shine.
So far it's my goty, and since it's already november i doubt anything will change that.
Really nice to hear Liam Neeson as your Dad

Will definitely pick this up!
Just wait until you leave the vault, the wastelands are stunning.

This game is incredible!
RPG of the year.
this is.... hell idk... masked turn based real time... fights?!?!
and yes the first few minutes are boring but just finish the main story i dont see how anyone could not like this game even IF it was bad a horrible game the story would still save it... fortunately its pretty badass when you get weapons like the plasma rifle or the chainsaw.... or anything that will blow everyone up hahaha
I think bethesda did a great job with Fallout..... except the third person camera.... as usual *sigh*
(if they wanna fix it all they need to do is move the character to the bottom left side with the characters waistline being the lowest part you can see. That way you know where you are aiming!)
Everything else is badass... especially the explosions.... and shooting people into a pile of ash... or shooting limbs off of everything... or watching the Enclave run in fear when they see you ahahaha thats the best part ;D
back to fallout now... gears tomorrow (:D again!!)

I dont know, it was the same with Red Alert 3, hated it at first, uninstalled, reinstalled, gave it another chance, love it. :P
I know it's an RPG and shouldn't expect the FPS mechanics to be as polished as a COD4 or Gears 2 (I know Gears is a TPS but still relevant in this context), but expecially after playing Gears and jumping right into this...it's just hard to adjust. The FPS mehcanics just feel bad, no satisfaction at all. The "feel" just isn't there.
The environments can pretty much be broken into the different segments found exactly like in Oblivion. The repetitive barren wastelands (repetitive forests), the "all look alike" subways (caves) and the vaults which all look identical (cave temples). And then just the whole layout of the game just really screams Oblivion.
I don't know, I'll give it some more time for sure...but so far I'm just getting too much dejavu moments and the shooter mechanics that just don't feel right and the whole setting that doesn't really appeal to me kind of kills the experience for me. Plus like I said, coming from playing such an amazingly paced game called Gears 2, it's hard to get into ANYTHING atm.
