First 10 minutes Xbox 360 PS3 Arcade

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger will probably never make it to Europe, but whatever. In order to celebrate the release on American soil of this brand new 2D fighting game from the mighty creators of Guilty Gear, our good friend DjMizuhara turned on his old rusty VCR. And here they come, the first 10 minutes of BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger in all its HD glory. If you live in Japan or in the United States, the game will be available on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on June, 30th.
Update: Added a gameplay video running at 60 fps, including the stream!

The Japanese version on BLAZBLUE is totally in English and is very VERY import friendly. The PSP version has remote-play which works VERY well indeed and there is no install. :D

Good shout.

I noticed the third enemy also looked like a Menos Grande.

Nice look to the game though.

This is a PSN/XBL title and not $60, right?

Well we don't have to miss this.
PS3 got no region protection at all and even the XBox 360 version is region free. Just go over to e.g. Amazon.com and order it, like I just did.
I can’t wait to get my hands on this baby as it is a 4 button fighter unlike SF.

No this is not XBLA/PSN… it is a box game.

It's a, fully justifiable, retail release.

I just finished watching both parts.
It looks really gorgeous and superb 2D animations but on what difficult level is it played in this video? – The AI seems to be on the passive side which is not very impressive. And he cut the battle he lost vs. Jin ^^
Any leads how to unlock V-13 and Hakumen?
And this game was supposed to have additional Japanese voices could you confirm that please? – I’m not really a fan of this girlish “Do you hate me Ragna?”.

Looks a lot like Guilty Gear, except all the cool is gone. The characters just feel really tame in comparison and i just can't help but think that, for example, Ragna is a weak copy of Sol.

Oh yeah, and Jin is such a rip off of Ky, not to mention Haku-men that looks almost exactly like Justice.

The fact that Daisuke Ishiwatari is now only composer, rather than cahracter artist, programmer and composer, shows i guess.

LOL. Clearly taken influence from various manga/anime for character designs.
First one looks like Halibel (Espada 3) from Bleach.
Third enemy is a clear rip-off of Arachne's henchmen from Soul Eater.
One sort of looks like a male version of Saber from FSN.
I could go on... lol
Still, does look a pretty cool game though.

Looks like a game from 198x with Flash gordon fighting effects. Why anyone would play a choppy fighting game like this is beyond me.

What's with the extremely cheesy lines? lol the VA"s are great but the lines they gave them to say are pretty bad lol.

And whats up with that announcer? lol Rebel 1? Rebel 2, The wheel of fate is turning? lol wtf

If you saw this link before, it has been updated. More of the cast being used this time.

Character design isn't as good as Guilty Gear , but the mechanics (including characters) are much better imo. It's not going to appeal to the mainstream but as long as there’s enough online community to get a game I’ll be happy.

I never played the Guilty Gear series, so I don't know what to think. I guess I'll wait for reviews. This generation has reignited my love for fighting games, starting with Soul Calibur :D

I just looked for some info on this game, and it seems it only has 12 players which is VERY limiting. In other words, it seems to be lacking in content. A fighting game's content is pretty much determined by the fighters rosters, and this is totally lacking. I think I will wait for this one to hit the bargain bin.

If the 12 characters are very well balanced yet offers distinctive play styles i'd rather have just the 12 than 40 unbalanced clones of each other (*cough*streetfighter*cough*).
