Page 1 2 >>I am not sure if I really can use the coop-part, since I think I have no one in my friends-list to play with. I am scared that I only have the chance to play with 'spoilers'.
Just bought the Orange Box yesterday, to finally play Portal. (and HL2)
The level of polish in this game isn't even funny, seriously!! Absolutely amazing game!! Loving it as much as the first time I played Portal 1. GOTY for sure :)
But yeah, loved this game. The ending was SO satisfying as well. Plus the end song was great, too :P really didn't want this to end. The SP campaign took me ~5 hours or a bit less. Now although that sounds very short it was a great experience and I highly recommend it :)
MP is great, just started yesterday. It's a lot of fun to do together with a friend.
best regards,
ScarJack
i wont have anyone to co-op with, sucks :(
wait how did this happen, how do you buy the PS3 version and get the PC version free??!! is that a timed special or something?
Valve should just license another engine and put Source out to pasture.
It's a lot longer than 5-6 hours if you play without a guide or any help. Took me 3 days to beat the game and I must've played at least 3 hours a day, it's so damn addictive. Fell in love with GlaDOS all over again
But I thought it was plenty long enough. It's a fucking fantastic game.
I'm enjoying this game but the Source engine really has to go. It's so primitive - still no specular or light source relative normal mapping. Everything is modelled straight to low-res too. It's super low end, and an engine very much of the last generation. Compared to another ageing engine - Unreal 3, the Source engine is basic in the extreme, and when compared to the likes of CryEngine... it's just hilarious.

Portal 2 didn't need CryEngine graphics... and when you compare it to something like HL2 or CSS, you can clearly see how far they've managed to push it.
Valve will release another engine.. in time.

Guess you're not very good at puzzles then :P I did it without any help what so ever in under 6 hours, was VEEERYY good though. Tempted to play through again, it was such a good SP.
Also, the crazy field of view is very distracting too. It's near fish eye in it's intensity.
Game of the Year for me, too much awesome in that single player :)
