The First 10 Minutes: The Witcher 2

When The Witcher was released something like 4 years ago, it kind of took everyone by surprise. Being both immersive and interesting, this RPG soon became one of the best in the genre for many fans. Neddless to say The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings was highly-anticipated, especially since the first images and videos revealed how ambitious it was tech-wise. So you can see it for yourself, here are the first 10 minutes of the game captured in 1080p and 30 fps (high specs).

Never unfortunately.

Given the time necessary to be able to review such a game (and the fact that we got our copy today), we can't do much except proposing some more videos. :(

The second is 1.2gig, it will take some time. :/

I have been playing it for 2 hours now. This is the best RPG I have ever played. The graphics, the story, the voice acting, the combat, the magic are just top notch. I really am getting goose bumps while playing the game. Just amazing stuff.

Well, while capturing with fraps no way. And even when not capturing, with the ubersampling option ON, I had 15-20 fps. -_-'

Don't know what the bottle neck is with my computer, but i can't run it well on the higher settings in 1080 and i've got a i7 quad that goes up to 2.7-something ghz, 6 gigs of ram and a GTX 460M with 1.5 gigs of ram. Is it the GPU that fucks me over maybe?

LOL yeah, I was on my work today, and I open Gamersyde front page. When I saw the pic of Triss naked and Geralt touching her ass, I immediately start scrolling down as fast as I could.

@megido It likely is your GPU, you have the M model, which if i'm not mistaken is their mobility model. From what i've seen, they just don't have the performance of a standard card, despite oodles of vram.

P.S. I miss france.

Heh, I didn't say uber hehe...yeah, I think that is a killer...i am sure I would get literally 0.1 fps on my old laptop. Lucky I am getting a new one that is pretty powerful, just not quite as powerful as your pc

Hi, i've been playing about 30 minutes. I've noticed that the frame rate is not stable...

My specs are:
Intel Core i7 975 Extreme @4.2Ghz
6Gb DDR3 @ 1759Mhz
GeForce GTX 295
ASUS Rampage II Extreme
ANTEC 1200W Power Supply

The frame rate "jumps" between 25 and 60 (VSync On) with no special situation or graphic charge, just "jumps"

The settings are PC_High; with overwrite of AA and AF using nVidia control panel

¿Suggestions?

Yes, you can connect the wired Xbox controller and works better than keypad & mouse :)
