Even the movies had beheadings and people with arrows sticking out of their bodies, and they were rated PG-13 (in the US). It's funny how the same thing earns an M/18 rating in a video game.

Pfft! If you like RPGs with real-time combat, you should be more interested in this than Dragon Age 2 - not to mention that this will have a more compelling universe by default.

Ah, that's fair enough.

The video wasn't exactly enthralling... just kinda showed the same moves in a continuous sequence. But yeah, it'll be a great game.

video made it look a bit by the numbers. but it could be half decent. not sure how well it's going to do tho. it isnt like LOTR is on everyone's lips anymore. seems like it's a good few years too late?

Looking forward to this one as well. I read somewhere that this will have online co-op....is it officially confirmed ? If so, it's one more reason to be a great game :D

With the memory of the EA games in my head, and knowledge that licensed games tend to get the shit end of the stick when it comes to actually being good, I have been ignoring this game up until now. But for some reason I do not know why, I decided to check out this video. Most of you are going 'meh' at the video, but consider this is the first time I have actually seen this game (screens, vids, whatever, after months of simply ignoring it) and I was blown away by the video.

I think I was honestly expecting much less from the game in general, and by this crummy video, all my expectations of what I expected a LoTR game to be, were shattered.

This game is officially on my radar now, and I want to know everything there is to know about it - time to go into media gluttony mode and find out everything. This really looks like the game I was hoping Dragon Age (the only BioWare series Ive not been impressed by) to be. Definitely have to find out more about this game.

Thanks for the vids, the screens and the coverage, Gamersyde.

Its made by Snowblind Studios, if its nearly as good as their Champions Games, wee will have a great Coop Game with hours of Gameplay.
Its an Hack and Slay Game and from one of the best Studios in this Genre. So expect some god old Slashing.

The Hobbit movies are in production as we speak, so obviously that will be on everyone's lips in the coming months. And people are going to relate LoTR to that.

Besides, for us hardcore Tolkien fans - of which there are many - LoTR will never go away.
