Second day of our coverage of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection on PS4 with three new videos and a few pictures from the photo mode. Since we were only allowed to capture 30 minutes of direct feed footage before the embargo lifts on Wednesday, you'll have to wait a few days to see more and to find out what we think about the collection. Until then, we remind you that we livestreamed the game yesterday and that the replay is available in the previous news article.
Note: Contrary to the first three videos in which motion blur was only activated for objects, here it is ON for objects and camera movement. It is also possible to set it to OFF.
Note 2: Yesterday's and today's videos were captured without the Day One patch (not available at this time).

Does turning on/off motion blur affect framerate?

Not that I know of, but I haven't tried the game without motion blur. That being said, the noticeable frame drops have been very scarce for the moment so I'm not sure that would be worth it (unless you hate motion blur of course).

I like motion blur for 30fps but for 60 im not sure.

This looks really good! Better than a lot of current gen games. I didn't play these more than once last gen so I think I'll snatch this up. My better half enjoyed watching me play these too. So bonus she is tired of watching forza 6 lol.

Uncharted 3 looks still really amazing. Too bad there is a bit of stuttering, and the lack of AO (or maybe it's there but too subtle?) makes everything a bit too 'old looking' though.

There is AO, but it's an older algorithm, and used varyingly.

Digital Foundry is investigating whether it does. I believe they said they'll have an analysis up in the next few days. My guess is that it for the most part, shouldn't affect it very much.

I just completed the demo, i dont remember the controls or animations being this bad? Also why has Nathan got huge fat legs lol

The gunplay/gameplay was never the strong point of this series, it was all about the presentation and big set piece moments. It was campaign-wise it was very call of duty-esque in that it focused on pre-set moments that delivered a great story/narrative but didn't always leave a ton of room for replay value, IMO at least.

My biggest gripe was always the gameplay as well, I never understood how anyone could tolerate playing this game's online MP as the controls are so wonky.

edit: by gameplay I mean the shooting mechanics, the platforming and puzzle aspects had no real issues that I remember.

as far as i'm aware some games animations are made for certain framerates. increasing the framerate increases animation speed or the speed in which a game runs. i'm assuming the same may have happened here and blupoint have adjusted them so they work at 60fps...but haven't quite got them right. or it's just the fact we're seeing more frames so they look odd.... i mean, these games have some of the best animations in the business, if not the best. but something is definitely "off" with the remake.

Tlou is incredible at 60fps. Every ND game should be 60fps as while the controls seem wonky at times the aiming/ shooting is so much better.

Pretty sure ND confirmed 60fps from now on also.
