Namco’s released a new dev diary for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. It focuses on character development and items. The game releases on May 17 for PC.

That is surprising: the highest difficulty means that you only have 1 life. That's brutal. Dead at, let's say 75% of the story and you have to restart. Good luck with that.

What's the point then? Why not just play on an easier difficulty level? Hardcore difficulty was always way too nuts for me. There's no way I'm putting dozens of hours into a character and then losing it forever.

Bought part 1 from Steam a few weeks ago and going to play that when I get time. This game looks better and better every time I see it
