Trailer PC Xbox 360 PS3

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings impressed us during its GamesCom presentation in Cologne. We're pleased to offer you the first episode from a series of gameplay trailers of it, produced by Namco-Bandai and CD Projekt. Entitled "Prison Break", this video tells how the heroe has escaped from jail.

It looks stunning, tried the first witcher game but didn't find enough incentive to get on with playing it when new games came out. But I will definitely give this one a go again:)

I also tried to get into the first witcher game, but I couldn't get on with the control scheme, it felt clunky. Though the fans will no doubt disagree.

My only observation is that it looks like they've hugely revamped the games control scheme, in doing so, the game will appeal to the likes of me, but it might alienate its loyal fanbase. Not something I'd like to see happen to one of my favoured games.

That looked great! I think this also gave us some ideas how Dragon Age 2 could be narrated, I heard it was similar to persons talking over the main character at a bar or something.

The original game sure has it's share pf problems, i don't think any fan would deny that. It is still a damn good game though. A ton of content, a good though linear storyline and plenty of side-quests to go around. Sure, the combat might have been a bit overly complicated, but you did get used to it after a while though i hope they have toned it down a bit. Having 6 different fighting styles, potions/alchemy and signs was a bit much i think. The addition of more gear is also very welcome, as that is extremely limited in The Witcher.

But hell, it looks great and since i think the first one was the best RPG we've gotten in a LONG time you can bet your ass that i'm looking forward to this, especially with all the improvements :)

I'm playing first game at the moment and I kinda dislike combat system alot, hopefully they'll get rid of it for good. Other than that, sequel seems to have great graphics and tits, what else a man to wish for? Oh yes, I'd prefer to have some hot female witcher under my control, not this man, but oh well, at least he doesn't looks gay like most modern male protagonists... Oh er... I was kinda hoping they'll make them moveable eye pupils this time, but apparently we'll still have to stare at blank emotionless faces even with this kind of graphics. But at least nature in this game worth simply standing and staring at.

I must say I'm very impressed by this demonstrative video. It looks much more promising than the first game in terms of gameplay. I wonder if the whole tavern-dialogue section is actually in the game, or if it's something they did just for the trailer? If it's just for the trailer it's very impressive work for something extra like this.
