Originally planned for the launch of the WiiU. Rayman Legends is not going to be released on the Nintendo console until the beginning of 2013. For consolation, here's a new trailer and images showing us a little more of the Rayman Legends' universe.
if these aren't bullshots, i think i can see what ancel was sayin'. the sprites on R. Origins look like cut-outs and the outlines like a bad sketch sometimes, here it looks like it's a proper 3d object being lit by the scene lighting and they seem less 2d, more shading?
It's a combination of 2D & 3D and well-crafted, hand-painted assets. If you've seen any gameplay videos, you'll know that it pretty-much looks like that.
One day I wish to make a game that looks like that!
