Ghost_Deus mentioned an unsteady framerate (the PS4 build he played is some weeks old though).
Verticality is scripted but he didn't feel the level design was that limited as some other previewers said. More various paths towards the end of the chapters he played. Gameplay is good, a lot of things to explore and items to steal.
You can slide, seems weird for a stealth game but some might find it fun, you can look through locks, windows and walls' holes.
Many options, from HUD to specific difficulty.

No idea about how long the game is.

Yeah, i keep seeing MAJOR stutter in footage i've seen but can't tell if it's the video or the game. I guess a mixture of the two cos it looks almost unplayable based on what i've seen, but surely that isn't the case?

Unplayable? Definitely not but if the framerate/stutter issues are not settled, it could be a deal-breaker for some players. The build wasn't really new but we are just a month away from the game's release.

Yeah, that's my worry. Looking at footage it is an almost CONSTANT judder. No way could i play it like that. Hopefully its smooth by release.

That image is why this game should have 3rd person option or should be in 3rd person view, the genre is best played that way.
I think its just to stupid seeing two floating hands and fingers moving infront you all the time, looks ridiculous.

Levels are small and there is lots of loading screens in ps4 version. Is it true?

Looks like 8 gb ram is not enough for large open areas? :(

The actual available memory is about 4GB, but that is still enough for open world. Just bad streaming tecnology I guess. Remember that this game was planned to be released only for previous generation consoles. It also looks out-dated compared to next gen titels.
It's actually closer to 6gig avaliable unified memory.

some stuff is really dumb. stealing earing from a person in a conversation with another. what is this, assassin's creed?

The game is way too fast, doesn't seem to have that methodical pace from thief 1&2. not bad, but ya know... influences.

''It feels faster and fiercer, but also smaller, something that could appeal to more action-oriented players and which isn't likely to sit comfortably with fans of the old series.''

sigh, oh well.

hmmm looks ok..ish

looks like a game i would pick up 2nd hand months down the line

nothings grabbing me specially the dated graphics, this is why i can not wait for everyone to ditch the last gen and just make games from scratch for the xbox one and ps4 atleast we will get some good looking cross platform games then.

i refuse to buy a game now that does not look or feel next/current gen

AC4 was really bad graphics wise, BUT i will say the new updated tombraider on the ps4 looks great, they seemed to have done a much better job putting it on the ps4 than the guys who did AC4

Well that's a bit ridiculous. Just because a game isn't running with the latest graphics doesn't mean it's irrelevant.

screen shots are starting to look pretty decent now.. how much they actually represent the game in motion via the various devices remains to be seen. Love to see some INTERESTING gameplay - challenging when viewing a stealth game I know.

no its not, there is just no excuse for a big game to not look stunning..non at all

if a game has good gameplay but dated graphics its a fail for me, if a game has good graphics but bad gameplay its a fail...they need both for me

The magic of the Unreal 3 game engine. This game obviously would have benefited greater from Unreal 4 but would have been another year in the making.

There is far more to how a game looks than the various tech that renders it all out. Of course graphics are important, but it's far more crucial that the art & design fit with what ever engine & tech is being used & vice vera; that the tech is set up to represent the concepts as best it can.

This game might not be technically stunning or even close, but it looks pretty darn nice in these screens & videos to me. Clearly alot of people put alot of hard work in to achieving this.

You might not like the style or what ever, maybe that's kind of what you mean, but I just think to dismiss a game because you label it as having "dated" graphics is immensely shallow.

Not weeks old but months old. The demoed version that has been used was the build prepared for the Tokyo Game Show.

I don't think it does. I think this still looks fairly good. The textures are very good. Nice and detailed.

Yeah, seems to be covered in volumetric fog and dust too. Nice dynamic lighting. It's not going to win awards, but it's definitely above average
